So I decided on a local dish provider. They are cheaper than any cable company around and offer more channels at a lower price. I have two tv's and they are set so that you can watch something different on one than the other one....

I guess everyone does channel surf on TV - flipping through the channels using the remote. Does this actually harm the TV set? Does it damage the picture tube or reduce the life of the TV in any way. Would love to get your opinion...
