"Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise" Most know this idiom but looking around I hardly find anyone following this rule.
I believe in this I get to bed by 8.30 and am up between 4 and 5 in the...

I intend to go to bed at a decent hour tonight, and rest well.
I have already showered. Bob made us sub sandwiches which we ate with more of that broccoli salad I made.
Tomorrow I will need to be in Marion by 8:30, so I have to...

Summer time and no pressing schedule. So I stay up too late.
Then I sleep late in the morning. It was 7:30 a.m. when I got up. Gasp!!
When I go to bed early, like 9 pm. I lay awake forever it seems.
Today I will go out for a...

I woke up a half hour early. So I was ready early.
Knowing I should have gotten more sleep, I sat in my chair with my eyes closed for a half hour. It was a challenge. I did not trust that my alarm would go off.
So now the car is...

Today is Saturday. I did not set an alarm and my plan was to sleep in.
That did not happen. As usual I was awake at 5 a.m. It does not matter that I stayed up a little late last night. My mind and body are so accustomed to...

Lately we have been having an early supper, then we are so tired we go to bed pretty early.
Hubby was in bed asleep by 7:30 last night. I was not too long after at 8 but then I got up at 4:30, so again, I expect to be quite tired...

When I do not have my glasses on and it is dark it is easy to misread a clock.
I got up, because it was "almost 5"
Nope. It was actually 4:04.
So I have done a load of wash and eaten breakfast. I am dressed. I went out to the...

I got up shortly after 4 this morning. I had strange dreams overnight.
So far I have had some breakfast and gotten things together to make a casserole for tonight. Oh, I have also showered and dressed for work.
I may sit quietly...

Between 3 and 4 a.m. my husband discovered what he believed to be an emergency. We got up, got dressed, and went to the Wichita VA Emergency Room. It was more of an unfortunate problem than an emergency.
Meanwhile, I was texting...

I am dragging now. Very tired, and it is not even 7 a.m.
Hubby got up too, which means I could not sit in the dark and rest my eyes. Since my son has the truck, hubby wanted to drive me to the bus stop. I could walk, it is not...

I have been awake since 4:40 this morning. My body thought I needed to get up for work. I have stayed home all day, though.
In some ways I work harder here at home.
I also play harder, though, so I guess it evens out.
Early...

Never mind that I have already made coffee and had a cup, my alarm just went off. Yeah. I woke up early again, but this time it was not at four in the morning.
I think I will make smoothies for hubby and I today.
At work we are...

I went to bed way too early last night. I gave up and got out of bed at 2:30 this morning.
My nose is stuffy, my tummy is hungry. I am now dressed and ready for the day.
So I will wander around the Lot, enjoying a bowl of...

We get up at 5 a.m. during the week, and we could sleep in on Saturday, and Sunday. We could sleep in except for the need for coffee, and for the opinion of our kitty.
So, we got up at 5:30, and made coffee. I made breakfast, and...

It's a habit now, after waking up, mixing my kind of coffee, sip and sit a while. And after all the coffee is consumed, get the scythe and do some physical workout in the backyard. Pulling and cutting off those bushes and grasses...
