We are house-sitting for a nephew. The couple have two children and now two grandchildren. It’s very obvious that the little girls stay with Grandma and Grandpa quite often as they have their own room here and there are a lot of...

Our son is married and lives in Ireland with his wife. Hopefully, he will come out to see us later this year. His wife won’t fly and we’re no longer able to visit them. They don’t have any children.
My sister-in-law is in much...

Today I got an email saying that the funding for the type of loan I am getting has been cut by quite a bit so I will not be getting funds until at least October of this year, if not even longer into next year. I am very frustrated...

Christmas will never be the same for my children and grandchildren. They lost their father/grandfather on Christmas morning. He had become septic most probably due to pneumonia, living alone, and not getting to a doctor for...

I have much to be thankful for this weekend. My son picked me up early yesterday morning. We had a good...

Yesterday, at the end of a nice family Christmas, my eldest daughter told me some news that she did not dare tell me on Christmas Eve.
She had called Felife And Negor to wish them a Merry Christmas and she learned that Felipe was...

Went to the mailbox to get the mail. My mailbox wasn't too overly full for two days' worth of mail--and no bills!
On the way back I got to chatting with a grandmother and her two little grandchildren. The...

I got to pick up my grandaughter from kindergarten for the first time today. She walked out and her little face was priceless when she saw Granny and Grandpa driving up in the truck to get her. I will never forget that moment.

Although it hurts knowing that my daughter-in-law took the kids across the country making it even more difficult for my son to see them, I am glad she decided to land within two hours of where I live. I don't currently have a lot...

I have been busy. Mostly my monotonous 9 to 5 but I have also been doing some...
