What do you prefer buying-a LED tv or HD tv??

According to me there is not much difference with respect to picture quality, only difference is the price. I only heard that the power consumption in HD tv is much lower than LED tv. So what do you prefer buying and why?

Which one would you guys prefer. Personally for me, I would prefer the LED TV for normal usage. But if I was rich, I would also buy the 3D TV for gaming. It brings a whole new experience to gaming. What about you guys?

I plan to buy a Samsung LED TV Series 7 one of the slimmest television in the world . What is the difference from LCD TV. Is this less power consume than LCD TV?
