Why do most long term relationships fail?

I think it's best to tie the knot on a span of 1-2 years of dating. Because when you're married, you wont have any choice but to accept each other's flaws and imperfections.

I hear that many people - after they get married or after a number of years in a longterm relationship - start 'letting themselves go'. Why? Some examples of things would be allowing yourself to gain weight or get out of shape...

If you're just starting to date but you want to keep your field open, do you tell your partner where your head is at? I always told my husband where we stood. I just think it's fair and they can only respect you for being honest....
