Today I had ringegourd with poppy seeds paste and rice. Ringe gourd is called jinge in bengali. Poppy seeds are called posto in bengali. The dish is called jhinge posto. Even potatoes can be given. It is eaten with rice.

Today I had aloo posto with rice. Aloo means potatoes in bengali. Posto means poppy seeds paste. Both are cooked together and eaten with rice. Potatoes are cut into small pieces for the dish. it really tastes delicious.

Today I had ringe gourd or jhinge posto and tice. Posto means poppy seeds fry in bengali. The gourd is a watery vegetable. The dish tastes very well. Some group of people eat it with chapatis also.
