Sunscreen or lotion how do you put it on your back by yourself???

I live alone and i swear the thing i hate the most is the fact that Alone I cannot properly put sunscreen or lotion on my back. I usually resort to using a spatula i keep in the bathroom to put it on my back and try to rub it...

If you know you are going to be a long time in the sun what is the best sunscreen to apply? Do you think those that are more expensive are the better brands?:)+
