I managed to get a couple of hours out at the pool both yesterday and today and I'm proud to say I didn't get sunburned!! In fact, I got a little tanning going on.
Today I went out there and soaked up sone sun while the Snore...

Have you ever seen someone in the summer whose wearing something that clearly shows they have been swimming? The "swimmer's" tan where you can see the outline of their bathing suit due to the skin being lighter in that area, or...

I support tanning as along as its not used obsessively. I used an L'oreal Tanning Spray and Jergens Tanning Lotion and I was pleased with both items. I love doing self tanning raw but I think its important to protect the skin from...

My daughter has a lovely olive complexion. When the sun is shining she is out riding my mountain bike or going for walks around the complex. She has a nice brown tan already.

I want to a holiday recently. Though the trip was awesome it made me tan my whole body. My skin tone has gone down by two shades.
Can anyone suggest a home remedy for removing the tan ?

I have a very pale skin which burns quite easily in the sun and I don't tan very easily. I always envied people who could just walk about in the sun for a few hours and get a lovely bronzed look.

You sunbathers know how much time you spend in the sun getting a tan and swimming. What activity replaces sunbathing?

Right now in beautiful British Columbia, we are having a bit of a heat wave. Yesterday was hot, but today is even hotter. Luckily, I have a small portable AC unit that cools my tiny apartment. Outside though, is another story.

I can't tan. I freckle right away and my skin is so sensitive that I have a sun burn within fifteen minutes. It's miserable. Just once I'd like to end my summer with some color.
What sort of thing makes you grumpy and upset?

Here in my country the beaches are populated with beautiful tanned bodies. They lay there all day soaking up the sun in order to get that dark bronzed look. Just in case direct exposure for hours is not enough, they apply lotions...

As with many people of Asian descent, I have a culturally-influenced desire to have lighter skin. For those of you who aren't familiar with Asian culture, porcelain pale skin has been prized for thousands of years in East Asia....
