My visit to another sanctuary, and got to play with a couple babies.
This is an older photo. Satara (tiger shown grown in another pic here) and lion Marissa. Both were cub rescues. They had nowhere to go and the baby tiger, Satara, was developing feline cataracts. With the assistance of Oklahoma State Univ. recommendations, we were able to clear the cataracts with an amino protein (L-arginine). She has perfect vision to this day, even though she is rather old now.
This is a little male lion we rescued. He was being used by a "pictur taker" (grrr, I hate them), and had outgrown his usefulness (and thats why I hate picture takers). He was very sick when we brought him here, and we nursed him to health. As you can see, he was feeling his oats that day. The flash startled him and he hissed at the camera.
