Thomas Aquinas

there are the two well known schools of philosophy - the Thomastic style after Thomas Aquinas, and then those that followed Duns Scotus. those that followed either method felt it superior to the other. You know the term Dunse? I am told it was coined to indicate those who followed Duns Scotus ( a true scholar and saintly person himself) Scotus wore a pointed hat which in ridicule through the ages has been referred to as the dunce cap and sported by class clowns and goof offs. I think that it is a terrible dishonor to a great man to allow such discrimination against his good name and reputation.... even if I do admire also the method of Thomas Aquinas, I am sure Aquinas would not have stooped to such levels as to single out and ridicule Scotus.
