Elaine Childerhouse What a blessing for you and your family! I am so glad to hear you are both able to connect this way. If you have the chance you should watch the Left Behind series with Kirk Cameron. It is one of my favorites!

I am getting so tired of hearing my 11 year old nephew beg for the last two days for a fricking fidget spinner, it is driving me nuts. He already has one but complains it's not the right type and now he says it's broken, his...

Elaine Childerhouse Weren't fidget spinners originally intended to help autistic children? There will always be a "fad" thing every couple years. The pressure on kids and parents to keep up is ridiculous!

Elaine Childerhouse I grew up in a house where there were always hugs and kisses. I am very "touch" oriented and I am sure she gets annoyed by it sometimes. Haha! I tell her I love her all the time. I hope when the difficult teenage years come she will remember some of...

Elaine Childerhouse Thank you @LovingMyBabies! I love that poem, "The Last Time." I read it when my daughter was about six months and it really made me consciously take each moment as it comes and enjoy all the little things. I definitely get less done because of it but I hope...

Elaine Childerhouse I definitely think consistency is important. The routine and knowing what to expect from you and what you expect from them makes for better communication and less frustration overall. :D

Elaine Childerhouse @Kandae11 Thank you for the vote of confidence! :D We really don't have an understanding at all until we walk a mile in their shoes. Parenting is a hard job and not for the faint of heart. :D

Elaine Childerhouse I have a two-year-old daughter so I am still fairly new at this parenting thing. In my opinion, I feel that each sex has its difficulties but I think girls have a little more to overcome. I can't really say that I was very difficult as a teenager, aside from a...

Elaine Childerhouse @marlina I am in Ontario, Canada. We have actually had some decent weather the last little while, mixed in with the rain days of course! Today the weather is supposed to be 22 degrees celsius (which I believe is 72 degrees Fahrenheit. I am heading out to a...
