hora_fugit The washer-dryer combination tries to extract as much water as possible by spinning. While the standalone dryer uses heat and spin to actually dry. I suppose that consumes a lot of energy. Time it does take.

hora_fugit @DaddyEvil It's more difficult to acquire a lighter skin, but there are ways for that too. As an Indian I can reach both shades naturally... we get darker (not red) and we get fairer (skin, not makeup). It's lovely as long as it's not an obsession.
