I don't but I'm way past 43. A woman I talked to yesterday told me she's forcing her children to get married so she could have grandchildren. Her eldest daughter is 27 years old. I'm 48 and being a grandmother is not yet in my book nor is it in Craig's. He's still young and hasn't started his own career yet. I did ask Craig if he had any plans of settling down in his 20s and his answer was, "No, I plan to make my own money first, enjoy it...then get married."

No need to rush or push our children into marrying and havings kids. It's up to them to decide. Craig is wise, he needs to enjoy first

That is horrible pushing a kid into marriage. There is too much divorce as it is. Let them make their own choices. It's their life, not hers.

Craig is right, enjoy life as long as he can, there is time to get married. My grandmother was 47 when I was born, she was 45 when my eldest cousin was born. I have known a woman who became a grandmother at the age of 36.

enjoy as long as you can, because marriage puts an end to it!

There was a time when getting married at a young age was the social norm, so it wasn't unusual for people in their 40s to be grandparents. But my how times have changed! People are putting off marriage until later years so that they can focus on their education and careers first. And by the way, I certainly don't want to be a grandma at 43! LOL

It's wrong to rush the kids to get married..let them marry when they are ready

The future grandmother started having children very young. I was still raising out son at the age of 43. I became a grandparent at the age of 59 and I was ready for it for a few years. But we cannot push our own wants on our children's shoulders, they need to live their own lives and realize their own personal goals.

Good for him! I've never done any of that. Make money, enjoy money, get married, have kids, none of that for me.
