Anna @Luli_hope - I know nothing about Australian laws, but I know that most countries get back the VISA if they discover you lied to the Immigration Officer. Americans are also strict on this.

Anna @Luli_hope I agree that this is a big mess. If he did something wrong, he should have not received a VISA. Fake declarations (in no matter which country) are enough to cancel a VISA. We will see what his lawyer can produce in his favor.
