ljcapps @ljcapps (1925) • United States 28 May 07

I just read a discussion from Eaforeman6, http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1099719.aspx that made me stop and think about this. My wife is only very close to her immediate family and has very little to do with the rest of her...

So how do you decide on topics for new discussions?

cocoanana @cocoanana (94) • United States 26 May 07

I just recently joined myLot and so far, I love it! I've responded to several discussions but haven't started my own until now. I jsut haven't been able to think of anything original, even after reading the tips in the FAQ. So I...

Bizziebod Hi, my theory on how I work with mylot is that I answer anyone who has responded to my posts recently then click on their avatar and choose one of their discussions to respond to. It helps out those who have helped you! I usually pick topics that I can answer...

You are never too old

winterose @winterose (39887) • Canada 27 May 07

You are never too old to follow your dreams How many of you agree with this expression. I believe that yes there are certain things that you are too old to start at any advanced age, they say that unless you start ballet...

Is working two jobs selfish?

toe_ster @toe_ster (770) • United States 29 May 07

If one parent chooses to work two jobs, is it being selfish? I am not taking it for granted. I acknowledge the sacrifice, but isn't it being selfish to the kids? There are alternatives an other parents work it out. Both parents...

What kind of car did you learn to drive in?

Gumball @Gumball (793) • United States 28 May 07

My dad taught me how to drive in our yellow 1977 Chevy Vega. It was an automatic with the shift on the floor. It was a nice little car, I wish they still made them.

What was the first car you ever owned?

Gumball @Gumball (793) • United States 28 May 07

Mine wasn't a car, it was a used 3/4 ton pickup truck. After I sold that a couple of years later, I bought a used hearse. :D Ok, technically it wasn't really an actual hearse but it had been used to transport bodies from nursing...

Did you have weird ways of eating when you were a child?

craz2max @craz2max (254) • United States 28 May 07

I remember having mashed potato sandwiches, oatmeal sandwiches, gravy sandwiches, etc. Just about anything spreadable was made into a sandwich. Let me know what you did.

Hazel Funcion @Zelmarq (12607) • Cebu City, Philippines 28 May 07

I keep saying to myself to keep my mouth shut and mind my own business and try to live as normally as I could. I try to focus the things that I say and do and try not to hurt other people as much as possible. But when I seem to be...

Do grandparents have an obligation to babysit the grandkids?

Swtrose @Swtrose (3385) • Canada 27 May 07

I don't think grandparents should be 'expected' to babysit. I hear some parents complain that they watch their children 365 days a year and deserve a break. While that may be true, parenting is a 24 hour job and if you need that...

Even though stores tend to do a good job in stocking fresh items (at least where I go, they do) do you look at the expiration date. It could be food (like milk, butter, meat, etc), or other items like batteries. I usually look...
