databrent Hello, well, 1,500$ is not that much of a salary here in Germany, whereI live. It is a lot like FrugalMommy described it for the U.S. You can live with this money, but not the real good life where you don't have to worry that much about expenses. You would...

Do you think the subtitle is helpful?

youless @youless (114065) • Guangzhou, China 28 Apr 08

I think it is not only useful to have the subtitle for foreign movies, but also it's good for watching from TV. As sometimes I watch TV when my child is sleeping, I will turn down the volume very low so that it won't wake up my...

databrent Well, I'm a little surprised that most people seem to find subtitles helpful. In fact, I HATE subtitles of any kind. I never use them, I find them all distracting and annoying. Here in Germany, it's custom to dubb everything, and I'm sometimes annoyed by that,...

Never jug a book from its cover ???? How much you agree ???

goergineo @goergineo (1498) • Jordan 19 Apr 08

Have you ever jugged a book from it cover. I know I should put that in "people" interest. However since the word "book" is mentioned, it is in the "reading" interest.

databrent Hmm..sometimes, I admit, I'm attracted to buy a book because of its cover. But it happens seldomly. However, I don't think, the cover is unimportant. I like books with covers that fit well into the subject.
