How long in a relationship would you get married?

Chele2k2 @Chele2k2 (241) 14 Feb 07

Do you feel, you would need to be in a relationship for quite some time, before you would even consider getting married to that person? Or why wait, why put off the inevitable and marry them as soon as possible, because it...

Leaving Your Old Parents to Homes For the Aged: How justified?

cuddleme01 @cuddleme01 (2724) • Philippines 15 Feb 07

If I am going to have a family and children of my own, I would want my kids to take care of me when I am old, just like how I take care of them when they are still babies, incapable of living in this world all alone without me. I...

fitzui83 No i won't, I guess it depends on how well were you as a parent. My parents were very very nice to us and brought us up well. And that's what we'll do in return. The world is all about give and take. Love your kids still no matter what their decisions are.

Are you polite to cold sales callers? (People who phone you to sell something)

Bizziebod @Bizziebod (3497) 15 Feb 07

It really gets on my nerves, you can guarantee as soon as you have sat down for something to eat the phone rings and it's someone trying to sell you double glazing or insurance - I know in some parts of the states and here in the...

No Smoking Please!

lvap0628 @lvap0628 (731) • Philippines 14 Feb 07

How do you get somebody to quit smoking? I've been asking my husband to please stop smoking or at least minimize it, but to no avail. It started as an every after meal thing (to lose that filled-belly feeling, he said), but now he...

fitzui83 yes you could exchange gifts while the two of you are mad at each other, but, what would you give to a person you are mad at? Settling down the argument would hae been a great gift already for that day.

What if your kids won't talk to you?

cf44867 @cf44867 (42) • United States 14 Feb 07

I have 3 boys that have really been through hell in their life. Long story short they live with their dad by choice, sort of. When they were 5, 3 and 1 their father took off with them and it took me 3 years to find them. At that...

fitzui83 Never giving up on them is a good thing, after all they are your children. But, you can't get back the years that you were not with them, you don't know what their father told them about you. Just try to be yourself around them and prove your husband and your...

fitzui83 I don't think you're fine now.If you're keeping something from each other, that's as good as cheating. Be honest with your partner, that's the best thing you can do to keep the relationship.

fitzui83 Don't play with emotions. Assess first as to what's going to be the outcome of each action that you are going to take. Talk to your husband, be firm in what you like.

blog4life @blog4life (30) • United States 14 Feb 07

fitzui83 Kids are kids, It's not their fault they are uneasy in a restaurant. It's just like us adults, when we don't feel comfortable in a place, we tend to go out or make excuses. But as parents we should know how to decipline them as well.
