Does anyone think that it is ok never to get married?

indian_girl @indian_girl (62) • United States 13 Mar 09

Does anyone think it is ok to just live with a man you love for the rest of your life without marrying him? I have seen so many failed marriages that end up costing both people lots of money to end. What is wrong with professing...

marriage

horses102488 I absolutely agree. I don't ever want to be married. Common-law marriage is something you should look into. I believe that I don't need a useless ring to make my commitment to someone known to the world. All that matters is how we feel about each other....

aggressive or assertive which do you prefer

I think there is a distinct difference between these two things being aggressive and assertive, which do you prefer and why?

horses102488 As with everything, there are levels of aggressiveness. Meeting someone for the first time does have a little to do with whether or not someone is seen as a narcissist, but I generally prefer cool tempered people who aren't out to impress. Those are the most...

horses102488 Aggressiveness is only a good thing to be when you first meet someone. Assertiveness deserves far more respect in my eyes. Being aggressive, to me, only shows someone is: arrogant, dominant-seeking, narcissist.

I honestly hated my single status. How about you single out there?

horses102488 Being single allows you far more opportunities than a relationship does. You don't have to tell anyone where you're going or what you're doing or who you've been doing it with. It's nice to have to answer to no one and to do things on your own without someone...

i'm seriously thinking of becoming a super model.

cynthiann @cynthiann (18612) • Jamaica 12 Mar 09

After all, I am planning on having 6 litres of Spring water and the skin of a green pepper for lunch, so I've obviously got the makings of one. For those of you who may not know, you can save 10 calories just by eating the skin of...

horses102488 I couldn't handle being a super model because I don't like people telling me what is beautiful. I prefer being myself instead of poked and prodded and critiqued by a bunch of people who have a lot of money for designing things that aren't needed to survive....

Internet explorer or another?

I've loved internet explorer for so long but I have recently been introduced to firefox. Which do you prefer?

ie internet explorer firefox

horses102488 Firefox is much better than IE. It's far more stable and easier to use. There are also better add-ons that don't take over your screen, unlike with IE. Overall, I think it's much better.

Do you want to grow old or young as time goes by?

youless @youless (114065) • Guangzhou, China 12 Mar 09

Lately I watched a touching movie called The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button. Benjamin was born as an old man although he was a baby. He grows younger and younger and finally he was a baby. Do you want to be the same? I just want...

horses102488 I would rather go from old to young. If you started old when you couldn't do much because of how crippled your body was, you would have to go through life slower and you would know what you wanted to do. When you're a toddler, you're never thinking about those...

Johnny Depp as Mad Hatter

What do you guys think Johnny Depp is going to do with the character? Do you think he's going to be any good at it?

horses102488 The things you discover on myLot, right? Wouldn't him having plenty of experience in these types of film qualify him more than if he didn't? I mean, Burton's mind must be a fantastic place to live if he can come up with some of the things he does...

horses102488 I appreciate all the responses on this subject. I'll have to highly consider MAC and watch out for Mary Kay stuff. I'll probably avoid the most expensive stuff until I can afford to buy it.

Would you buy a mac if you could afford it?

horses102488 Around my school, it is the most common computer around that I see. What is great about Mac is that Windows can be run on a Mac now so compatibility is no longer an issue. Also with this, games that are for Windows can be played on Macs. So you get the quality...

horses102488 There are very little compatibility issues unless you are talking about gaming. If you are then of course I would suggest buying a PC such as Alienware. Macs are far easier to keep up because they don't get viruses and there is little to no scanning that needs...

How long/ how many posts is normal for making ten bucks on here? What are you experiences with getting paid through myLot?

horses102488 haha.. I'm definitely not doing this as a full-time job, that's for sure. I was merely curious as to how long most people spend on here and how long it took them to get to the ten dollar mark.

Arrogance and success when it comes to writing

horses102488 @horses102488 (102) • United States 26 Jan 09

Do you think that arrogance can actually help you when it comes to trying to get something published? Will it help with brushing off the critical and harsh comments writers receive on their works?

horses102488 I think one of the most recent books that was poorly written is Twilight. And you're correct. Look at the popularity of her series. So it seems that getting published is the main issue. If you're already popular, being a good writer has nothing to do with how...

horses102488 Wow. I can't even imagine having to start over at 31. That is what I'm trying to avoid by messing up and spending the money now so I don't have that happen to me. What kind of business do you want to start up?
