My 38 year old cousin, born and bred in America, speak only English. Apparently, my aunt did not teach him Tagalog. But I guess English is the international language. Still I would have wanted children to know the native tongue....

introvertedzed Yes, I think you should. It's important for our later generation to be able to at least speak our native tongue. Like myself, I only started learning my own native language after turning 19 and even until now and believe me it's hard and humiliating sometimes....

introvertedzed I don't know how to say it in french,greek or spanish, but I don know how the say it in Malaysia, they called it "Teman Sejiwa", Teman refers to friend while Sejiwa means two people that share a soul, metaphorically. XD
