Cooking Hot Dog?

MsBingoGossip @MsBingoGossip (42) • United States 14 Dec 06

Do hot dogs need to be cooked before eating them? I always eat hot dogs cold and I love them that way. The other day I noticed on the package it says to heat to 160 degrees. I always eat hot dogs cold, even since I was a little...

kwixx06 Heating them to 160 degrees is aimed at killing any germs or bacteria that may have formed over time. These form because sometimes the hot dogs are not stored at the correct temperature for extended periods (for whatever reason) and thus they form on the dogs....

Game System

rman3000 @rman3000 (174) • United States 2 Feb 07

I heard that if you put your game system on the floor that has carpet this may cause the game system to not work. Is this true?

not work

kwixx06 Placing it on carpets that are furry (have hairs that stick up) can cause the game system to overheat. This is especially true of the ones with their air vents at the bottom. Since the hot air cannot easily escape, the unit overheats and then malfunctions.

kwixx06 There is no age limit. Just excercise to the degree that your body can handle for your particular age. But make sure to consult your doctor for proper advice before starting an excercise regime.

Free Computers??!!

tibzoy @tibzoy (110) • Philippines 10 Feb 07

There's no such thing as a free lunch, right? Or is there? Lemme drive my point...Where can I find a free computer that I can own at no cost?

4 responses

kwixx06 There is no such thing as a free computer. Even if you don't pay the actual cost of the machine, you are usually required to pay shipping and handling. If not, there is still a catch somewhere that will cost you something, no matter how small it may be.

Venus Williams wins Australian Open. It's About Time.

kwixx06 @kwixx06 (17) • Jamaica 10 Feb 07

It is kind of weird how the Williams' sisters were on top of the world (1 and 2 in the rankings) and then they just faded away. Well, Venus seems to be trying to come back on top. She won the Australian open, and I am not...

Have you ever got a fish bone stuck in your throat?

hopeful28 @hopeful28 (1439) • Singapore 10 Feb 07

Have you ever been eating and enjoying a fish meal when you felt you've got a fish bone stuck in your throat. You try to swallow but you can still feel it there. What do you do? I have heard a few suggestions for this: eat plenty...

kwixx06 I had fish bone stuck inmy throat some years ago. It was stuck for over half an hour. To get it out, I swallowed lime juice (concentrated, straight from the lime itself) and it dissolved the bone. This is because of the acidity level in the juice which breaks...

kwixx06 I drink a glass of warm milk and some cookies. The milk soothes me internally and the cookies fill up the rest of the space so that I don't feel hungry. Then I will be able to sleep.

what is your opinion on suicide?

itsjustmeb @itsjustmeb (1212) • Canada 9 Feb 07

kwixx06 It is a very selfish act. After someone does, they leave behind bereaved loved ones and friends who are left asking "Why?". Other than that, it is not scriptural as it is a form of murder, and the bible condemns murder. Life is precious in God's eyes and to...

It is a shame to see what is taking place in Lebanon. With the recent death of the cabinet minister and the assasination of Rafik Hariri a few years back, things are bound to get more out of hand. What are your thoughts?
