Well as most know I am my fathers caregiver. I stay home all day long tending to dad for the most part. I seldom go anywhere except to the store etc. Once every few months I may get away if only for a few hours or the daytime. So this brings me to facial hair and the process of removing it. As I seldom go anywhere I seldom shave as well. This photo is a 3 day growth only. I shave maybe once a week sometimes only 2 times a month. So men how often do you shave? Do you have very thick facial growth or fine hairs? Women, how often do you shave your legs etc? Just curious and or nosey I guess. How about this stocking cap? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Ever since I had chemo my leg hair and my underarm hair don't grow hardly at all so that is one chore that I don't have to do often. During the summer months if I wear shorts I might have to shave my legs once a month if at all. My husband used to have a beard, he had it for years and years then he was going to work at a refinery and had to shave in case they had a chemical leak and had to wear the masks, well my youngest daughter had never seen him without a beard and it scared her when she saw him, she cried and didn't like it at first. She didn't recognize him at first.

I can't really grow a beard. Well not one that looks nice anyhow. When I was a teenager I had a radiotor blow up in my face. It burnt the right lower portion of my face slightly. Enopugh so that not all the area gets facial hair. So when it grows out I have a small bald spot on the right side of my face/chin area. This is a cute story about her not recognizing him beard free. If my husband has no place to, he doesn't shave, but since he does go to work every day, he shaves every day except if he is going no where on Sat, then he won't on that day..

Bob, Love the stocking cap! LOL, if that is 3 days growth then you are like my hubby. His facial hair grows very slow, and grows in patches. He can grow a mustache but not a beard. He usually shaves when my 7 yr old Gabby says "Daddy, you're scrubbing me!" Usually once a week, sometimes longer. Now for me, once a week in the winter, twice in the summer. You know us girls have to watch the 5 o'clock shadow. Blessings Marilyn

Now, I have to jump in here in defense of most women. My husband may go one day without shaving, but he knows he better get the mess off or he'll be hearing from me. And, he knows he better be cleanly shaved if he's expecting to see his granddaughter! She will tell him about it. I think we need to take care of our appearance regardless of how much we go out. I don't always put on make up around the house, but I DO comb my hair and put on clean clothes. You never know when someone will come to the door or you might have to make a fast, urgent trip. As for shaving legs, as I've grown older, I have no hair on my legs; therefore, I don't have to shave them - and that is SO nice! But if I did, you better believe I'd keep them neat and clean. I HATE to see women with hair on their legs just as I hate to see men who don't shave. I'd even like to shave off the CHIN hairs or my older brother and my oldest grandson. They'd look so much better without that garbage on the end of their chin.

Why not become clean-shaven and surprise her, Bob. She might start wondering what you've been up to.

Hey grandpa bob! You are too funny! Nice stocking cap! So you don't like to shave huh! I guess that's ok if your wife doesn't mine lol. How about savanna? What does she have to say about grandpa's scruffy face? I am not shaving my legs every other day I do in the summer. Now that I'm not wearing shorts I do it once a week. Are you happy now grandpa bob? Let me know what the survey says! You are getting silly today!

Speaking of Savanna, she hates me at times. I lean down rubbing my mustache across her lips and nose saying, "You like grandpas mustache princess?" She hates it actually. But in time she'll come to expect this from me all the time. Survey says, women shave a lot more then men do so far. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Shaving is a personal preference.. Guys refer no to do it.. we prefer that they did..LOL Just kidding Well if you want to grow a winter beard then don't shave it, but you still have to groom it or your wife might think and feel that you are getting a bit shaggy!I think that it is right up thee with shaving legs for ladies.. we all go through spells when we are like why do it,, God put that hair on our legs for a reasons.. then after get get tot he point that we can not longer stand it then it gets shaved!

I won't grow a beard. I just don't shave as much as I did when I worked etc. Laziness is partially the cause I reckon as well. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

You are nosey aren't you, hehe. And here I am answering your question. In the winter time I let my hair grow long on my legs, it helps keep them warm when they get real hairy. Not really, just teasing. I still do shave but maybe not as often in the winter. Thats mostly because I am in pants and not shorts. Plus as I have gotten older the hair on my legs has almost disappeared, I don't have much anymore. I shave under my arms everytime I take a shower, that once a month, hehe.

I dislike European women as they tend to not shave. Ewwww! But I guess this is because of the culture I grew up in. I shower every day. I hate baths. Why wash then rinse with the same dirty water I say. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

When I was younger, I might shave my legs once a week. I do not seem to have any hair to shave anymore. I still have a full head of hair, but do not need to shave anywhere else. Hubby gets old looking if he does not shave. He does let it slide sometimes as much as three days.

as women get older we lose the hair on my legs, so at 53 almost 54 I don't have any hair on my legs anymore but facial hair has always been a problem, I don't get rid of it either since I am in the house all the time, but I do if I have to go out somewhere.

I sarted grtowing a mustache as a teen for the reason of hiding a tumnor I have on my upper lip on the right side. I got hit on the mouth with a baseball bat losing a tooth that went through the lip and left a tumor/scar tissue. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

You need to get a purple cap so that everyone knows who is king of the castle! I shave my legs and underarms when i have to go to the doctor or something like that. Since having my ovaries removed i don't have to do it daily or even weekly. There are perks to getting older and that is just one of them.

you know, I go through the same thing! I'm quite dark looking, Italian, Greek! I guess I have a problem when my stubble starts to grow, it looks pure black! I do become lazy when I don't have to go out! Why shave? I tend to leave it and I use it as a good back hand scratcher! Anyway, I do hold hygiene quite high on my list and whenever I'm going out I absolutely have to have a shave! I get all embarrassed if I don't! I think it's good to allow your facial hair to grow from time to time, give it some freedom! Andrew

I shave my legs every day. As I have thick , healthy, fast growing hair. I swear the hair on my leg acts like is grass and someone gave it fertilizer. I have black hair so it also shows up super well. I have yet to find a reason to be proud of it. Just dread knowing I have to shave yet again tomorrow.

Well, my husband shaves every morning. Mostly because it comes in very patchy and very gray. During the winter I shave every Saturday, unless I don't feel like it, then it's maybe every other. In the summer I try to be a bit more regular and shave Wednesday and Saturday. I'd kinda like to live in Europe so I wouldn't have to bother with it!

I rarely go anywhere either. I shave my legs about once a week. I have to because it grows so quickly and it bothers me to have hair on my legs.

Well, I don't shave my legs, or under arms, but I'm not a really hairy gal. The roomie says if she has to shave her face (and she does) she's not going to shave her legs (like she can see them anyway.) She was shaving about twice a week when she worked in the office, but now that she's working from home, she's maybe shaving every other week. Oliver likes it....

My hubby very rarely shaves to baby's bum standards, he just skims a hair trimmer over it every so often. He does not suit a full beard, his hair is blonde and his beard grows in ginger so it looks a little odd! When he just has a bit of growth though it looks OK. I only shave once a week, my body hair does not seem to grow that quick plus I have really sensitive skin so have to be careful not to irritate it too much!
