I answered a discussion of a good friend of mine that said that lucid dreams are magic you can actually change your dreams so they can turn out the way you want them too, well that is true only it is science, psychologists will and can help people with these dreams, so in my view if it can be explained scientifically it is not magic.
Similarly voodoo priests used to make people appear dead and a few days later they were back to life and scaring everyone. But science now knows that they used a drug called curare that paralyzed the person for days and when the drug wore off (incidentally the drug can kill you it is poison) in a couple of days. So that is again science
Now of course you can call anything magic, aim your remote control and your tv turns on can be called magic in the broadest sense of the word, but it is again is not magic, it is science,
so my friends how would define magic, please give examples for best response.

I feel that "magic is something that begins or starts from within and grows. Sometimes things we can't explain is considered magic or Magic may refer to:
*Magic as in (paranormal) anything that is not explainable by any laws of science.
Magical thinking
Folk magic, traditional systems of magic
Magick, the magical system of Aleister Crowley and Thelema
Witchcraft, the use of certain kinds of supernatural or magical powers
Magic that is made up of illusions,
Street magic, sleight of hand, etc.
In fantasy fiction:
Magic (fantasy), a general overview of magic in works of fantasy
Magic (Discworld), magic in the Discworld series
Magic (Middle-earth), magic in the works of J.R.R. Tolkien
Magik (comics), a character in Marvel Comics.
Magyk, a book by Angie Sage
In science and mathematics:
Magic (cryptography), the codename for U.S. intelligence obtained from cryptanalysis of Japanese diplomatic transmissions during World War II
Magic square, a square of numbers with identical row, column, and diagonal sums
MAGIC (telescope), the Major Atmospheric Gamma-ray Imaging Cherenkov Telescope
R550 Magic, a French-built anti-aircraft missile
Multi Agency Geographic Information for the Countryside, a governmental website with a detailed mapping and layers of the United Kingdom

I would never consider lucid dreaming as magick....Magick to me personally is basically a mind over matter situation for the most part...its an energy thing....

I don't really beieve in magic, as most things can be explained scientifically or they are simply trickory or illusion. You can change your dreams but that is the power of the mind, the power of the subconcious and sometimes the concious mind. I believe in the miraculas, but I don't know if I would consider magical and miraculas to be the same things. Perhaps they are.

Magic is the unknown, the unexplainable, the occult or whatever you really want to call it. Magic is the admission that there are spiritual and mystical powers out there. Magic is the acceptance that the reality we live in isn't quite what its made up to be. The real meaning of magic takes deep research and study and you yourself must be ready to understand it before you can actually understand it. This planet that we exist on now has a lot of mysteries and unexplained questions that could be classified as magic.
