Yes, that's what we are calling the house, in part because that's what I call a place in my stories, but also because we have so many of the "house lions" as we sometimes call the cats.
So, check out the picture, yes, that is Elic under those cats. Count them, 12, there had been 14 until the roomie got up to go get the camera. I'm in her bed - I didn't sleep last night so I took about a 3 or 4 hour "nap" on her bed...
Just wanted to share what I have to contend with in my TWIN bed some nights!Oh, not the cat at the very end of the bed, he won't sleep with me....

My family used to have as much as cats as you have now. They are cute and we sent some of them to our friends. But now we do not raise cats.

I don't "raise" cats, I rescue them. These are all rescue cats, some more rescued than others.... The big fluffy black and white one was only a week old when we got him, had to do the whole bottle thing, thought it would kill me, then, 2 years later we did it with 4 more!

Uh..where oh where are you..do you actually have a cat on top of your face there..think I see a glimmer of your arm...Boy does this bring back memories when I had more cats...it was EXACTLY the same way with me. I only have my two kitties with me in my bed...but yikes, still can't move with them...Pyewacket likes to sleep right on top of my back as I sleep on my stomach..so don't dare move or he gives me a dirty look

There's one on my hip and one on my upper torso, I'm a side sleeper because of a problem with nerves in my leg.
I think if the roomie had quietly gotten up before I woke up the other 2 might've stayed, but who knows. Timus was sleeping on a basket beside the bed (her c-pap and alarm clock are under the basket) and someone else, don't remember who, was close to the edge of the bed. They followed her.

Sounds like an appropriate name for your home. I am not fond of sleeping with the pets, because they do not let me sleep. I have one that I will let into the bedroom portion of the house, but that is also because she does not leave any nasty surprises or talk to me when I want to sleep.

That's so adorable, and as I told you in my photo comment, so familiar. My daughter has 14 cats currently, counting three newborn kittens she "claims" she's getting rid of and I have three. All of mine sleep with me and when I get up to use the bathroom they all follow me then they follow me back to bed. I keep strange hours sometimes but it doesn't matter to them - when I go to bed, THEY go to bed and they really keep me nice and warm in the winter.

I like to have a quiet day with my kitty. He is alot less crazy than the dog most of the time. He just likes to hang around and stay warm and dry and maybe check out some birds outside. My cat has a good life.

I have trouble sleeping when Josie decides to stay downstairs. I need her purring next to me to sing me to sleep. And she never fails to be my alarm clock in the morning by rubbing on my mouth and chin and walking up my body. She is essential.

Hey, they pick their places, I have nothing to do with were they settled! You have to know that these "children" have their favorite places, Scamp and Nef on top of me, the Wonder Twins near my face, Oliver near my hip, Blossom down by my foot.

[b]Okay. Went to see. Is that 13 cats with you (counting the one at the foot of the bed)? And that's not even half of your brood, now, is it!
Left a comment on the pix site. (Does MyBot pay you when folks leave comments or evaluations there?)

[b]Hm! Good! I could use a few extra pennies!
Pong, Taj--anything fuzzy & cuddly!!! I miss them all so much!
Sigh....
Hope you do feel up to it this week, or soon, anyway.

Hi ElicBxn,
Your cats are so cute, I wish I had more cats but hubby won't let me, so I only have two cats, but I love them so much.

you have no reason to complain . you must love cats to live with so many.
who changes the cat litters. who do all the cats belong to your roomie
or you. one cat each would be ok but a bakers dozen is going overboard.
does someone have plans to make a coat with the fur.

We share the cats, and some are ours because they make it known who they love. The OTHER roomie does the litter in repayment for not paying as much rent.
We have 2 dozen cats, but considering we found homes for 16 other cats last year, it could be worse!

Napping with a kitty makes me so happy, I don't know what would happen if I was surrounded by so much love... probably giggle myself to oblivion.
Do any of them want to get under the covers with you?

Rygel, Tony and Ping are the only 3 that will tollerate under the covers, and if Ryg is there, beware! He means to PLAY!
Mind you, I didn't need any covers, I had CATS!
Last winter Tony would get under the covers with the roomie, but never with me - he was a cold kitten last year since he had spend a very cold night outside because some moron put the "cat" out for the night - at 8 weeks, you've gotta keep these babies in! Its like putting your 5 yr old out for the night!
So, Tony and Scamp both came to us because of MORONS putting the "cat" out for the night. Scamp's night ended in a few hours, and while the weather was cold and rainy, it was November. Tony didn't get rescued until morning and it was the end of December! He really was a chilled kitten all last winter - we'll see how he is this one.1 person likes this
