The results of posting 100 posts yesterday

First off I'd like to clear up some confusion. My assistants type for me because I am disabled. I answer all the questions myself; I just dictate. It's not some way I'm using to get around the Mylot rules. They also help me with other things; like cooking and going to the bathroom. Secondly, I made $2.38 in total. That's my highest Mylot day ever. Even if it only puts me at $5.48 still almost $5 more to go for payout, still don't know if I'll make it. Thirdly, writing 100 posts is murder on both your brain because you want to create quality posts but still reach your goal and your fingers, I typed some myself as well as having my assistants do it. My fingers are very sore today. I wouldn't recommend trying this unless you can take most of the day off the next day. Just my opinion. Fourthly, and the last thing, I don't know what I need to do to get off page 6 of users by rating. I thought I would surely be on page 5 after all my posting yesterday but no such luck. I'm the first person in the third row on page 6. What do I need to do? Any advice?

100 posts in a day, that's great work. I think my maximum post a day was 20 ha ha. And my total posts even doesn't meet the number of posts you made in a single day. How much time did this take? Did you spend the whole day on this? Well I can't imagine how tiresome work it would be as I get tired after posting about 15 a day but viewing this post I felt I should exercise posting a little bit more each day to reach the point like you one day. Best wishes for you!

I woke up at 8:02; got up at 8:38 AM. I wrote lots of poetry, posted some blogs, sent faxes, and watched The National Prayer Service. I finished at 11:58 PM central time, two minutes before mylot closes payout for the day. It was a very artist, maniac day.

Well, I went and looked at the number of posts that you would have to get to make it to page 5. You would have to make it to 4338 to bump the person on the very bottom of page 5 back to page 6 and move you up. Congrats on the $2.38. I think the most I have ever made was around $1.60 in one day.

Can you explain to me what user by rating is all about?

User by rating is basically there is a list of top users. The top user is the one who has the highest number. The higher your number gets the higher your ranking gets. You can get to it here: http://www.mylot.com/w/topusers/1.aspx You can also get to it by going to the myLot population on the bottom left of the screen. It also has users by location and top referrers.

Can't help you with the user by rating thing since I never really paid any attention to it. But I have to applaud you for getting the 100 postsin. About a year ago, I tried to see what I could do in a day but I never got higher than 50 posts. My major problem after that was just finding things I wan't to post on that I hadn't already posted on. Hope you don't run into the same problem.

I wanted to try and post 100 as well the other day and I was unable to make it myself. I understand that you need to create quailty posts so doing a 100 a day can be done but only if that is what one would want to achieve. I still someday to make it to 100 posts but for now I will stick between 20-50 posts a day. I also had a very high earning day as well when I post more too. I know this is key when trying to get to the mylot payout, good luck with this discussion and have a great day online.

Hi there, Congratulations to you on your 100 postings. I see that you are in a chair and realize you're talking about attendant Care Services, not a personal secretary as I too am disabled. I have Cerebral Palsy and use a power wheelchair as well. I only have help twice a day an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening as well as a cleaning shift and a shopping shift. The rest of the time I'm on my own. I'm just curious if it's not too personal, do you have attendant care 24 hours a day? Also, you mentioned dictating to your attendant who then types your responses. I have Cerebral Palsy and although it affects my muscles and my voice to a certain extent, I recently purchased myself a brand new laptop running Windows Vista. Windows Vista now has speech recognition software built right in. I don't know whether this would be of assistance to you, but I absolutely love it and it is what I use to do all of my writing, right about now I have between 90 and 95% accuracy, which is absolutely awesome as far as I'm concerned, and it cuts down on the fatigue of typing. All the best and happy Mylotting!

I get 13 hours of care a day (as I get pee on my own) and an overnight person. I'm alone the hours or so a day if everything is going right. I'll look into you suggestion. I've tried a few voice recognition softwares and they haven't worked for me.

Hi, wow, the most I have answered is around 40 in one day. I have since try to do around 20 to 30 so I won't get burned out. I like this better than other Q&A I've seen,At least I might make a penny answering a question.I have only been here for about 4 weeks.

Wow, that's a huge accomplishment! I thought I was doing good when I posted 50 responses but, like you, it really tired my brain a lot just doing that. I don't think I could ever get up to 100 unless that's all I did all day long. Unfortunately, my computer is not fast enough to do that plus work. LOL Maybe one day I'll get a faster Internet connection. The most I've made in one day is $1.74 and that felt great. I hope you continue doing so well! Good luck!

First let me commend me on your courage to write about what you feel and believe in. I firmly believe that it is not so much about how many post you make, it is more-so about how you interact in this community of multi-ethnic people.

Wow! that is a big achievement on your part. I haven't even earned a dollar a day. Well to earn more you also need to work hard and do some sacrifice so that you will achieve what you dream of having. There is really nothing impossible if you work hard for something though it entails sore fingers. . Now i am just wondering how long did you spend in front of your computer to achieve the 100 post? I am so sorry to hear about your disability. Take care and happy mylotting!!!

Excellent! I think that was a great 'team work' to hit 100 posts on mylot in a day. I must say your assistant did a great job too. But I always wonder if spending hours on mylot to post such a huge number is really worth it? After all that efforts and time all you gained was $2.38! I am sure you must be paying a lot more to your assistant for doing all your work! Anyways, I understand that being on mylot is not entirely ONLY for money; your goal changes once you spend some time on mylot. But I always keep this one thing in my mind, that mylot is EXTRA money and not my bread & butter; so I would invest most of my time in more valuable work. Have a great time on mylot!

Wow that's a lot, congratulations. I'm sure you'll reach pay out, and the feeling is wonderful. If do that everyday then you'll earn $60 every month. Isn't that good? Happy mylotting.

Yes it would be good, but I don't have the stamina to do everyday. It means that you have no life outside of Mylot, which I want.

Wow, congratulations for doing a great job! i've never made 100 posts a day because apart from mylot, i've got other important things to do...(checking my emails, accomplishing blog opportunities, etc) The highest post i've made so far was 50 and i earned only few cents from it.. i guess we really need to make quality posts in order to reach our mylot goals.. plus, we need to allot more time if we really wanted to make a dollar or more.

hey .. if you have a medical problems, then its your personal issue.. you dont have to justify yourself out here.. besides, did anyone ask you how you got 100 posts in a day?? if they did, then just tell them that its none of their business.. people should not poke their noses in other people's businesses

Hi, cripfemme, well done. I am very happy to say that you are the one who I think the best and the very hardworking and very focus in your life. I mean that you are the one who can concentrate on something very seriously. Actually, I also new to mylot but I know that I am just simply do my job: responds and responds. Well, there is a lot of option to create the good and quality responds that is may be from your experience, your thought and acceptable by everyone. I don't know what make you so aggressive, I think because of money. Right? Well, I hope that 1 month have 30-31 days and please spend your time well and write something which is suit to your opinion. I think you should take some rest and then write again because human need to take good rest and then write good and quality posts. Don't you agree? I like your style: Aggressive. I hope that I can be like you.

You have done a good job to make 100 post in one day. I am a caregiver for the elderly and disabled. Anything you can do is good even if they have to help you. Your mind is everyones best asset and your seems really good. I am glad the man I care for has not learnd about mylots.

Congratulations on doing that. As some other people said, I don't know if I would be able to make it that far as the number of posts I make go. My brain would get tired as well, I think lol. But yeah, it is nice to know that it is possible to make that much in one day here.

I type all day. I am a file clerk so i am constantly typing as it is. Then i get on here and type some more. So i can handle the typing part. I do though get tired after so many responses and just want to take a break.

Wow that's really impressive that you made two dollars and thirty eight cents in one day. I don't think that I've ever even made over a dollar in one day. The most I've ever made in a day was like ninety six cents which I think is still pretty good. Did you get a lot of responses in a discussion or something because I've posted over a hundred before and only gotten like fifty six cents. Anyway good luck with your posting and I hope that you can continue to earn that much.

Wow. That's absolutely fantastic. You set a target and you made sure that you achieved it. Congratulations. The maximum postings that I have made is close to 25. You made more than $2. That's great. I am still struggling to reach a decent amount. Now I am going to make sure to set a target and make sure that I achieve it too. You have given me inspiration that if you have the will then you can achieve set target. Congrats once again.

Wow 100 in one day - and 2.38$ that's really nice for one day :-) Sometimes I write alot too, depends on my mood and time. I think it's great you get your assistant to help type. I once worked as a helper, and I typed e-mails and stuff too after dictation - as you said. Keep on the posting :-)
