yesterday i was meeting a good friend of mine at mcdonald's for breakfast. o.k. i pull in & park never realizing i was over the lines. wasn't anybody in the next few spaces so w/out noticing i had not parked well. i know womwn drivers, lol. well, this "dude" pulls up beside me & gets out of his car staring at me w/this nasty look. i'm thinking what's his problem. he takes a step or two & keeps giving me the evil eye. i'm not well known for keeping my mouth shut as i'm sure y'all have noticed. he keeps walking & keep staring . i have no clue what's going on. finally when he gets to the end of my car & he's "still' looking at me like i'm an escaped convict or worse, i say to him "what the hell are u staring at"" real smart of me he could have been an escapee himself, lol.guess what it was??? i was over the lines!! now would u have got out giving someone the evil eye over that ???? i did move my car but not till he got inside, the ol" fool.

Listen, my dear, I am beginning to fear more for your safety....than mine! LOL! Guess I will have to take a trek down to your neck of the woods, and be your personal body guard! I'm really good at tripping people and beating them to the ground...LOL! Did you just have a "bee in your bonnet" and/or that is NOT the demeanor that you must use, in order to get an attractive man to buy you breakfast, gotta use your charm, m'dear! You must know that I am poking a bit of fun at you....gotta keep the young stuff loving us little old ladies! Cheers and a great big "glut" of sunshine for you today!

That sounds about right these days. He could have kindly said, Ma'am, do you realise you are double parked? You may want to move to avoid an accident. People are just so rude these days.

I do think his reaction was over the top! Okay fair enough I know you were not parked within the lines but he managed to park and its not as though there was a shortage of parking places. Therefore you weren't causing any trouble. I really cannot stand overly aggressive drivers.

I don't always park real straight either so I definitely would not get after someone else over such a thing. Especially if the parking lot is not packed...who cares? It seems like a trivial thing to get all worked up about. I once had a guy in my apartment complex put a nasty....real nasty note inside of my car regarding how i'd parked. I worked really late the previous nite...was exhausted when I drove home and had forgotten to lock up. I knocked on his door and first appologized and then told him that if he ever EVER got into my car again for any reason at all that I would report him to the police. Some people are just angry by nature. kind of sad.

Hi, ANTIQUELADY! Well if they wrongly parked, then I would just park in a parking space that is away from the car that is parked so wrongly. There is no need for me to give someone a nasty stare. I may be irritated about what they did. But, if I have space to park someone where else, I would. If it wasn't any space, I may get frustrated, but not enough to keep on staring over and over at a person. I may look at them and that is all. I know at the motel last week, there was two trucks that were parked over the line, and when my husband pulled up to park, he just parked in the next parking space over from the car. As he was pulling up, he looked at the truck that was parked crooked and he did not say anything. He just skipped the parking space next to the truck, and he parked in the next parking space beside it. He gave his car and the truck some extra space. Now, if someone wanted to park next to the parking space that my husband skipped, then it was up to that particular driver. Don't worry about it! We all have parked wrong once in a while. Like they say that no one is a PERFECT DRIVER!

BWAHAHAHA - you've really cheered me up! This is hilarious, and I love what you said to him! The world has become such a petty, small-minded place these days ... as if there's not bigger things to worry about! I'm glad you didn't move the car in front of him and give him the satisfaction. (Maybe he choked on his fries ...)

Nasty stares. I received those numerous times in the past. But not too serious, anyways just some minor understanding. But if it's my fault then I just go away in calm countenance. But I admit it takes all my courage to stay calm.

hello antiquelady lmao at you! lol what a jerk that guy was giving you the evil eye over the way that you had parked your vehicle at McDonald's of all places. it wasn't like that you were at the White House or somewhere like that trying to park your car. lol and i would have done the same thing that you done, asked him what in the hell are you looking at. lol i would have asked him if he needed a camera. lol you know? i am so sorry to have heard about your experience. i was gambling one time at Harrah's Casino, in Metropolis, and the casino was having some kind of a promotion going on that day when i was there, well i had went to go eat something and then was going back to gamble somemore that afternoon, well when i get back to the parking lot there, not a parking place to be found, well i kept circling the parking lot, finally i seen this guy leaving the casino and i followed him in my vehicle to where that he was parked, well, he sat there and sat there, so finally after about twenty minutes or so, i parked my vehicle and got out and went and tapped on his window, sir, can you please leave now so that i can have your parking spot?, he gave me the Ma'am business. lol i was so mad at that jerk. he then proceeded to sit there another thirty minutes. some people don't even need to be out in public at all. take care and have a beautiful day today!

Honestly, it's a pet peave of mine. I have two little ones that I have to get in and out of the backseat when I'm out because of their car seats. When someone parks too close it makes nearly impossible for me to get them out, especially the baby whose car seat comes out so I can put her in the cart (she has a carrier that releases via the handle so I don't have to move her in and out of her seat especially if she's sleeping). So yes, I've given quite a few stares in my time over this. I've also gotten nasty stares for trying to get my children out in tight situations when it was their fault for parking too close. In those times I generally make comments to my children such as "Mommy's so sorry people can't park correctly, but we're skinny enough-we'll get out ok". Of course, I also get stares because I've facial piercings, and tattoos. Especially during warmer months when I wear spaghetti straps and reveal the two on my back. (I love being Pagan lol). Oh I would have given you the evil eye as well. It does matter. If the next person has a van, and a lot of children, or is handicapped or is in a hurry to get someplace, he or she will have to drive around until you get in line. And one cannot stop in the street and let a child run to the washroom and get hit. So next time, make sure you park between the lines. Then nobody will stare maliciously at you.

i'm sure your evil eye would have affected me the very same way his did. i didn't do it intentionally & if i had gotten out of the car & saw what i had done i would have moved it. u are a little catty, aren't u ? i'll park any darn way i please, u r bossy to.

Hi my dear antiquelady. It can happen sometimes when we park most of the times in the rush and it doesn't make difference for other drivers. As you said anybody near you so what the problem? Some people make a storm with a glass of water but I bet he makes worst things when he drives and put the life of others in risk. I think that if you was a man he doesn't look at you this way. I would do the same you did LOL. Cheers my dear.

No I would have not given anyone the evil eye. I am guilty of waiting around and watching a person who has parked in a handicapped parking space. I don't let them know I am watching them. You have to be very careful now. People are rude and disrespectful.

I have an uncle who has an Astro and every time he uses it, he deliberately parks over the lines just so he can have more room. Naturally we give him a hard time about it. If it was somebody I didn't know, I would have just politely pointed it out to her/him (providing he/she looked reasonable enough). What would a nasty stare do, except make the driver antagonistic? Anyway, you didn't mean to do it. :)

People can be jerks sometimes. I hate to be glared at like that. Even if it is my fault..I think there is an appropriate way to act and it's not like you were hurting him..lol. I'm a little feisty at times too. I would have probably done the samr thing if he had continued to glare at me.

HAHAHA OH MY ! Well I'm a teen and i'll tell you a story : P I was walking down the stairs to my bus stop and looking for my bus stop. I asked the lady in the bus( that was closed ) where the bus stop was. All of a sudden this girl walks by. She's like 5"5 and her hair looks like a black long mop. Seriously ! It was either wet or really oily, sort of disgusting. she was wearing a bakcpack, a tank top, a jacket , and black skater shoes And to be nice i smiled at her.. she smiled back.. for WAY TOO LONG ! she kept smiling. and can it get worse ? she's going on the same bus ! The bus drive closed the door on this women who had a child because there wasn't enough people. She yells " HEY WE CAN FIT HER IN !!" bus driver, " nope " her " oh well, you're the man! the bus driver, the boss.. i guess " then she gives my friend this dirty look when my friend smiled at her ! She was really scary looking. quite freaky!
