Anne you might want to rephrase your discussion. It sound like a threat and I for one will not respond to that.

Sorry, you thought it sounded like a threat, but I couldn't have posted mine first as then you would all have known the answer to the question

Have been thinking about your reply, and having thought about it I think it would have been nicer for you to have pm me about it since we are friends and have pmed each other before. Also you did respond and earned a few cents out of replying, LOL So we both won.

You are right and I over reacted but I had such a negative reaction that I typed before considering how it would sound. I will PM you to discuss this point and why I was upset. Pat

But your name comes first on it and then when you are of age it is given to you to keep so in my book it is the first one you ever get, your parents just look after it for you so it doesn't get lost etc.

interesting question... the first official certificate i received... would be the Official Results for the Middle School Exam we all sit for in our Third Year in Middle School.. that would be in 1984 - when i was 15 years old.. everyone who passes the Exam will recieve an Official Certificate from the 'Ministry of Education' listing down our results.. the subjects and scores.. and once upon a time ago.. the certificate (with good results) would actually be good enough to get your a clerical or office assistant jobs.. can you believe that..??

I think the first ever certificate I received was for gymnastics. I did not stick at gymnastics though, I think I moved on to tap and ballet after that! I still have that gymnastics certificate somewhere as well.

It was in grade school, I read 42 books over the summer, the minimum was 25. So they gave me this cool certificate, I think my mom still has it.

My birth certificate may be give to my parents, but that is because we are too young to hold on to it obviously. LOL It is our birth certificate, given to parents for safe keeping. After all, out parents have their own.

Certificate? Other than school report cards, you mean? I guess it would have been a baptismal certificate, but that would have been given to my parents, not me (an infant). I did get a certificate for my First Communion, though, so let's say that was my first.

Hi ya Anne18 You have just reminded me that I haven't sent you that recipe yet for rice krispie crunchy things. Will do that after I have responded to your discussion!! I am not how far back I can think. I am guessing that I would have been in the 3rd year of Junior school so I would have been about 9 I suppose and it was for Gymnastics. I think I had to do a forward roll, backward roll, headstand and cartwheel successfully.

Hmmm. I think the first ever certificate I received when I was a kid was that from the Boy Scouts Council. Lol. Funny but I don't recall any other during those times. cheers!

I got effort roll in kindergarten and cried because the rich kids, I went to private school until 3rd grade, got honor despite them being lazy and dumb. So, that was one of my first. I didn't recieve a birth certificate. My mom did.
