We all love music, and have a favorite kind of music, and try to listen when we have time or when we really need to listen music. But you really care about the lyrics?I like to listen lyrics, for me is very important to understand words too, and i use some traslations machine if i like a song in other languace. Of course i don t talk about classic music , no lyrics, i talk about songs with lyrics, who impress you.

Hi icesmile, I think tune is the first thing that attracts you to a song, but if the lyrics are bad, it looses some of its melody. I feel that it is very essential for any music to have great sounding lyrics as well as tune. All my favorite songs are ones with great lyrics..

hai there, i give importance to the lyrics than it's melody. if a song's lyrics is similar to my feelings then i love it bcoz i feel that it is expressing something my own. i never look out the melody of a song but i love song. take care.

Well I love to sing so I do like lyrics. I like songs with a lot of lyrics because once they stop or just repeat the same thing over and over again then I stop listening to the song. And its hard to listen to a long instrumental part because it does get boring with out lyrics.

I mostly love the rhythm of the music, but if the song has catchy lyrics to it then I like that and find myself singing it often. But mostly I love to dance so the rhythm is what is really important to me.

When I listen to a song, firstly, I would like to listen to the melody.Especially a foreign song that I don't understand. And when I listen to the melody,I like a song with interesting elements better! Then,I believe every song has its reason to be produced,so the productor must has his or her reason to make it.I will enter into the song by feeling the affections of the song.Normly, the affections are transmitted by the lyrics and the way the singer sings it!

it depends on the kind of music and the personality involved, i dont really care about lyrics of most rap music because i may not be able to remeber most of them but i do care about lyrics of songs that are done by some artiste such as Akon bcause they are often inspiring and great

Of course it's important. Especially when I know that I'll listen to it all over and over again. Hehe. I think knowing the meaning of the lyrics is important too. For me, you can really FEEL the song if you KNOW the song. But I tend to listen to the melody first. if I like the melody but don't like the lyrics, then I opt for an instrumental version. In that way, i can enjoy listening to the melody without the lyrics. Sometimes, melody without words is relaxing.

Hi icesmile! I do love music. Yeah, i definitely love music. There are songs that are pleasing to the ears because aside from having good melody, the lyrics are great too. But there are songs that I listen to simply because of the melody. Like there are foreign songs that I listen to because of the melody. There are songs that are not my cup of tea because the melody is not my type but I would listen to because the lyrics mean so much.

The lyrics of the song matters - even if it has a really good melody, I still prefer songs that make sense, songs that I could relate to. That is why I like Oldies and Country Music better as they have a story in them - unlike many modern songs that don't make sense at all.

I can't say I appreciate today's music the way I do the music of the past. I don't think songs are so well written. That's why I don't listen to much music anymore, but when I do, the lyrics are important to me. What good is a song with lousy lyrics?

The lyrics in the song make a pretty deep impact on the song. A song with really meaningful lyrics can add a lot more to the song then just a nice melody can. I guess it all depends on how you look at music or how you listen to it. I think that songs with really stupid meaningless lyrics like the songs you hear on the radio are really just trying to get you to listen to them so they can make money off of you.

First thing, that catches my ear, is of course the melody. If I start to like the song, I surely check the lyrics too, because it's important for me to know what is that song about. + I want to sing along too, and I wanna do it correctly!:D

I care a lot about lyrics...If tehy are dumb then they really aren't worth my time it means someone did not put a lot of time into the song, so why should I care to listen to it. If it is catchy sometimes I still will but the songs and artists that are written well both musically and the lyrics are teh ones that can realy be considered artists.

Both of them!If the lyrics are thoughtful or can call my resonance, I think the lyrics are necessary to the song. It can promote the meaning of the song, and tell you the ture artistic conception! And, melody is also important. I just can't imagin the song without dulcet rhythm!

I like listening to the music, song. First I would listen if the music is good or no. After some multiply listening, If I stated that the song is good. Then I'll look for the lyrics. So for me it;s the melody first then the lyrics...

It depends on the song. At times, it is lyrics. At times, it is the melody. Most of the times, it is the melody which catch my attention first. There is seldom good lyrics without a good melody.

there are some songs with lyrics that goes to my heart. some songs i like the rhythm of them but not so much the lyrics. a song with lyrics that are really nice is the song 'untitled' by simple plan. initially i didn't really care about the song. that was until i saw the mtv then i realise what the song is all about. after that, the song never fail to stir some emotions in me whenever i hear that song. another song will be 'just like a pill' by pink. it's also quite meaningful to me. cheers

when i hear a song, the first thing that impresses me is the melody.. but i also care for the lyrics because i should know what the right words are so that i can sing it. it is embarrassing for you if someone will hear wrong lyrics from you and then they will make laugh at you..hehehe

I live for music. it is more than just a love for me. I cant go throughout a day without listening go music for at least an hour. I do also love the lyrics of songs. actually if there is a song that I like I look up the lyrics just so I can analyze it and get the real meaning out of it. Music is a form of describing life and I really think that it can help people deal with emotions.
