It's so great and I never thought I could possibly be this completely happy. I love being away from ymsoon to be ex husband. No mre moodiness, no more abuse and nomore telling me I'm not good enough. Just me the dog and the cat. Thanks so much to everyone who helped me here for all of your support and caring. You all really helped me make this possible and got me over my biggest fears and I just can't thank you enough for that. Now I just have find a job. I applied everywhere and I mean everywhere in the town I live in but nobody ishiring. Even the college kids who work every summer can't get jobs so I'm getting a little concerned. Thanks again to all of my great friends here on MyLot.~D

Good luck to you!! Have you ever thought about being an aide to elderly or Multi Handicapped. It pays pretty good, and not alot of people are willing to do it. At least it might help you get back on your feet.

Hey there Thorourob, how are you? I used to be a CNA and I did it for a little over ten years and it really took a toll on my back, I got hurt pretty bad and it's never been the same so that's why I'm going to school to get a degree and am gonna try to work with my brain instead of my back, LOL!

I can't wait to graduate either. What are you going to school for? I wish you all the luck in the world my friend. Good things will come to those of us who work hard if we just keep thinking positive. Good luck. :)

Look for positions in direct care or personal care or home companion. None of these are medical jobs, none of them pay really well, but the demand is constant. You sometimes have to be willing to look far afield to put the food on the table while you continue with school.

The last job I had like that had no lifting, just meals, and light laundry and reminders to take meds. I guess it varies from area to area.

Hi GardenGerty, thanks for the suggestion but I just told Thoroughrob that when I did that for years I hurt my back really bad so I can't handle that type of work, but I'm up for just about anything else. I figure if I keep on the people at the places I applied at around here and have some persistence someone will eventually give me a job.

Cpmgratulations to you on the new place and getting away from the abusive husband. My husband has been very short tempered with me lately and seems to be mad at me all the time and I don't know why. Anyway, I told him the other night that if he continues to be a jerk then I will leave. I won't be a doormat for anyone. Good luck on finding a job!

Yayyy, Dfinster! When I divorced my abusive husband and finally had my own place for the very first time ever, I cannot begin to describe the sense of freedom that would wash over me. At long last, I could breathe! I am soooo happy for you :) Karen

The sense of freedom is so nice. No more yelling and arguing, just normal everyday issues and peace and quiet. Who could ask for more.:)

Polly, Polly, Polly, what can I say? Your advice has always been right when you help me out. You have a great knack for that and I appreciate you always giving me that reassurance. Thanks so much. ~D

Except for the job thing, great things have been happening for me almost every single day. My pets are happy, my landlords are just great and I have the coolest neighbors who invite me over to hang out and do stuff. I just have a feeling that soon things will completely fall into place. I got my fingers crossed.:)
