iF Y'ALL READ MY EARLIER DISCUSSION, I MURDERED MY DISHWASHER LAST WEEK well i'm still acting like a dingbat.. got a letter from the bank that i was overdrawn, omgosh. this is something i don't do, back when i was normal anyway. What i had done i had added when i should have subtracted. Now i can't even do normal math. i'm telling u i need a keeper. Iwas so upset & embarassed. Thank heavens the bank was nice enough to take the fees off or that would have been a bunch of money. Guess it pays to live in a small town where evrybody knows u. Do y'all think i need a keeper, do u??

I'm glad you got the fees taken off. That stinks when you have to pay those! I don't think you need a keeper, I think there is something in the air. I feel the same way. I'm so on edge and uptight. I forget to do everything, I can't seem to concentrate on any one task. I'm all over the place. I have been going through everything in the house. Boxes that I haven't even opened in 10 years... Well, I shouldn't of opened them or even touch them for that matter! I have broke half the stuff and the other half only brought back bad memories. We just can't win sometimes, can we? :-) I hope you have a wonderful day!

I am glad that someone was nice enough to help you. Most places wouldn't. I would not get to worried about a keeper yet, lol. It just proves you are human. Take care and be careful.

High time to look for a competent manager. Repetitive mistakes only signals that all is not well with our brains. I agree living in a small town where everybody knows everybody and relationships is very close like a big family unlike in big towns where the attitude of the people is more on 'mind your own business'. It is cold and not that too friendly.

High time to pay attention to what i'm doing, i think. I don't have enough buisness to hire a manager for goodness sakes. I know my brain is not right, is anybody's??

hi antiquelady no indeed you dont need a keeper. I did something similar, I ordered a bunch of groceries via internet thinking my son had put a certain amount of money backin my account that he had borrowed from me earlier. after the order was verified I found to my horror that he hAd not returned the loan and my grocery order made me badly overdrawn. I had to call thegrocery p eople and cancel the order, call the bank and beg not to be chArged an overdraft fee, it all got straightened out but After that I never ordered anything on line 'until I had checked my bank balance. We all do dumb things ocassionally. he he.

Don't feel bad. Last month I bounced a check for the first time. I paid my electric bill, and for some reason I thought I had more in my account than I did. So I was 30 dollars over. And yep, they charged me a fee! To some, $25 dollars doesn't sound too bad, but that fee just made me sick to my stomach. Oh well. It's over and done with and I just have to be more careful.

I'm sorry to hear that. I don't think you need a kaeeper. I have done that before also. I think our lives our too busy and we lose track of things sometimes, is all it is. We live in a small town too but we are not from here, so they do not cut a break at all for anything.

Hi Jo! Sweetie, we all have moments that last longer than the moment that it's called so don't feel bad. Will it help any to tell you that my checkbook is so screwed up and has been for the past 4 or 5 months that now I have to wait till everything is cleared then I'm going to open another checking account and close this one just to get back on the right track once again. It makes me sick to have to do this because I had just ordered two boxes of checks before my account got screwed up. I'm on the second box now and might just wait till they're used up so they won't go to waste. Isn't life grand?

u DID make me feel better, Thanks. I have been so mad at myself & that's a really bad feeling.. I usually let other people do that, lol. DOESN'T THAT DRIVE U NUTS? THIS ONE TIME HAS DRIVEN ME NUTS. Will YOUR BANK NOT HELP U GET IT STRAIGHTENED OUT OR HUBBY OR SOMEBODY?? When my youngest son was little he got mad at my aunt & told her she was fruitier than a nutcaKe instaed of vice versa. THAT'S WHAT I'D BE IF IT HAD BEEN GOING ON FOR MONTHS.I hope u get youre all fixed up & not have to close it. Thanks for letting me know i'm not alone.

No you don't need a keeper at all. We all do things like this all of the time and it is not an age thing either. It happens a lot to me when I am stressed or upset just like it happens to others in different age groups. I've done so many things like this in my life and it is always when I am stressed. I am glad that the bank took off th late charges fee though. That was good of them. They know that you are a good customer and you needed a break. I did stupid things when I was younger too - in fact all of my life. Blessings

Maybe you just need to adopt the habit of checking things twice Jo. I expect that you probably just had things on your mind and didn't pay enough attention. Now when you start wandering to the shops in your nightie and slippers and forget to read the letters from the bank.....

Hi antiquelady! Don't feel bad because this has happened to me, too! I don't blame you for being so upset and embarassed because I was, too. I'm just glad that the bank took the fees off. They didn't take the fees off for me and I live in a small town, too. No, I don't think you need a keeper. I think it's happened to all of us from time to time. What happened to me was that I had been using one bank and I changed to a different one. I found out they do things a little bit differently to the one I used to use. For example, I can deposit some funds in my account there today but that doesn't mean they are available yet. I hope that makes sense. Kathy.

GOOD MORNING KATHY, Thanks for your response. I'm sorry u had trouble to. I'm sorry they didn't take your fees off. I know some people do this on a regular basis but i think when it is someone that doesn't they should take that into consideration. I was very lucky they did that for me. Hope it doesn't happen to either of us again.I will be more careful from now on believe me. Have a happy day, dear.

WOW!!! You are very lucky to have gotten the fees taken away from you from the overdraft you lucky lucky girl you! How unfair lol. I know I have been there, where I was quickly balancing my checkbook and either wrote the wrong amount on the subtracting line, or did what you did and added instead of subtracted. Oh that is the worst! The even WORSE thing is that my bank charges 35 dollars every time you go over, and they aren't nice about it lol. It sucks!

Good morning, thanks for your response. I was lucky they took off the fees. they charge $33 a check at my bank, that's pretty steep. I'm sorry they didn't take yours off. Maybe the reason they took mine off was because it was the first time & they knew i normally don't do that. Whatever the reason i'm glad they did. lol.Have a good day.

No more keeper for this ol' gal!!! I am beginning to like my own company and there just isn't anything like doing what you want when you want and not having to explain or justify to anyone. Even if we do crazy things now and again, Oh well what can they do shoot us??? Besides it may be fun to be able to hide our own Easter eggs one day and meet someone new every day. hehehehe. Take care my dear friend!!!

I am a HUGE volounteer....you get your bun's up here, another small town atmosphere, and I will be your right arm! I don't think all is as bad as you think, my dearest.....your life was sent asunder when you heard of your son's transfer...and your mind has just been on other things, and you will get back to normal real soon....BUT the offer is still open! Yes, I have come to grips, and am busying myself with housecleaning, and baking for the Memorial on Saturday. Thanks for all your wonderful e-mails that keep me cheered right now! Luv ya...and cheers!

Hi there Jo! Everybody commits mistakes. But on my own opinion, you don't have t think that you are not normal anymore. Because what you think is what you become. Maybe it is normal that we became forgetful as we age. Maybe, you need someone to accompany you to remind some things that you need to do. I wish I am that near to your place so I will be the one to be your company and I am willing to do it for free. But since I am million miles away from you, I wish that you will find someone trustworthy. Good luck Jo. Take care always, okay! Happy my lotting to you my dear!

How sweet u are , niah. It's my own fault just need to be more careful what i'm doing. Have had alot on my mind lately. U can believe i will double check my account from now on. It was very embarassing to have done that. They were nice about it at the bank & i certainly appreciated that. If i had to pay those fees i would have really been upset w/myself. Thanks for your response & for being so sweet. HUGS TO U.
