Do you like to wear socks?

In my country, it is hot and humid through out the year. I don't like to wear socks at all, even I am wearing a pair of sneakers or spot shoes. But I was used to wear socks when in the school days. It was just to obey the school rules.
I find my legs so uncomfortable while wearing a pair of socks, bet it a thin layer of socks or even a thick socks.
I know in some winter season, people must have wearing socks to keep their feet warm. Anywhere, please share you like to wear socks or not? Or you force to wear socks because of the weather?

Hello vingyan06,
I for one MUST wear socks no matter what the situation is. If it is hot and humid the more I need to wear socks. Socks are good to absorb sweat. Do you know our soles have most sweat glands and produces plentiful sweats? What will happen to them if there are no socks to absorb them? Wont it cause your snickers to smell? I wear socks to sleep too. Different from winter countries where they wear wool socks, here in humid countries, I wear cotton socks. It really keeps me comfortable.

Hi Merryn, you point out something so important... With the socks it can absorb sweat, I never think of that. I will try to wear socks when I wear snackers, thank you for sharing! 
But I think I totally can not stand to wear socks during bed time. I like to the bed sheet a lot. I tell you, during my confinement month, I forced to wear socks for 1 whole month. I am having very though time to sleep with my socks on my feet. Guess what I have did? Hubs don't let me remove my socks but I secretly remove my left socks and let my feet feel the bed sheet, rubbing my feet around to get fall in to dream land... But he still see my right feet with socks, LOL.

Really? You must feel the sheet to fall asleep? That is so cute. Everyone has their own unique habit to fall asleep. As for me, without my socks, I'll feel expose and am unable to sleep. LOL. Let me take over your feet during your next confinement!

I only wear socks in the winter months when its cold and I have to wear regular shoes, but in the summer when its hot I don't wear socks at all I can't stand my feet being hot, and I usually wear sandals all summer, if my feet are hot my whole bodies hot, I don't like that.

Hi there, thank you for your response and time here. Yeah, you just need socks when it is winter time. It can keep you warm all day. What type of socks you choose to wear during winter? As for my country, we have only summer season here. So I am just like you, don't like to wear socks in hot day! Happy Mylotting!

Hi, vingyan. 
I don't like to wear socks either. However, it depends on the situation. I do not wear socks at home unless i have cold feet. My husband used to wear socks at home because he said he did not want to have a rough skin like me. 
But now, seems like he gets influenced by me and seldom wears the socks at home anymore.
I always wear the sandal going out. In case if i wear the sport shoes, then i will wear the socks, i feel more comfortable with that.

Hi lulumartin, hope you are doing well over there. I never wear socks at home, and so do my hubs. But I still remember during my confinement month, my confinement lady advise me to wear socks to keep the feet warm. It is good for woman who has just delivered. Hence I have 30 days wearing socks at home!

I like to wear socks when I am wearing shoes. If I am wearing other footwear like slippers or floaters then I don't like to wear socks. Its mostly hot where I stay but my feet hardly sweats. So I wear them with the shoes. I feel uncomfortable wearing shoes without socks.

Thank you for sharing here. It is good to wear socks with our foot wear. But I just not used to do that.

Dear vingyan,
If I wear my sport shoes, then the socks have the chance to 'travel' too!
But most of the time, I wear sandals, high heels as the weather in Malaysia
is hot, hot, hot!....so no socks please
My hubby (man) socks are part of their wardrobe, my son..schooling,
therefore socks and school shoes match each other very well!

Hi Iriene! Thank you for your response again! I just like you, not so into wearing socks as the weather in our country is so hot! But still man need a pair of sock to go with their leather shoes. As for school children, they still need the socks to go to school. If your son feel not comfortable with the socks but forced to wear it to school everyday, what will you do? My niece is just like us, don't like to wear socks, and she is being force to wear socks to school everyday, she goes crazy whenever her mum got to wear socks on her feet.

Yes, my son always complained that the socks is too tight-lah! Very hot-lah!
Once he came back from school, he quickly take out his shoes and his socks.
Sometimes he left his socks at the walkway..my mum will tell him off;
"J...why you left your 'salted fish' at the middle of the walk way?"
Then he will answered ' hehehe, 'salted fish' - ??!!"
They need to wear, it is the school regulations, it help to absorp
the sweat, but I do not like to wash socks! Tedious and dirty :(

Our place is hot and humid too. But I always want to wear socks when I am wearing shoes. Because if you don't do that, your feet and shoes will stink because there is no cloth that will act like a buffer for your sweat. It is always advisable to wear socks with shoes no matter what.
When im not wearing shoes, i am most often barefoot.

Funny you ask this question... today I discovered that my feet have a tan line where my sandles sit on my feet. I had no idea that I wore my flip flops enough to get a tan line, but now that I think about it, I wear my flip flops almost every day in the summer. The only exception is when I'm jogging or planning on going on a long walk, but I often wear flip flops even on those long walks.

During the summermonths I never wear socks, it isn't neccesary and I feel much more comfortable without socks. I usually stop wearing socks in May and start wearing them again in September. I wish I didn't have to wear socks at all, but is completely impossible in my country. During the autumn months and the winter months it gets very cold, and it often starts snowing, so we simply have to wear socks in order to protect our feet. Sometimes we have to wear one than one pair of socks.

If i am only on an AC bus and train wherein the travel time is 9 to 12 hours. I really wear socks because I do feel cold. But since I am wearing a sandal, I do have to take that sock inside my baggage and wear it later on.
It feels warm and cozy whenever I wear my sock during that long travel time. We do usually sleep and sometimes, when we travel in the morning, we sight see the place since I am always on the window seat.
About the weather, well I don't need to wear socks. This is a place were I don't see snow or similar, so I just feel warm inside the house, and no need for a heater too. Happy Mylotting.

Thank you for sharing here. Yeah,better to choose to wear socks for long journey traveling in the bus or train. It is air conditioned so better wearing socks to keep the feet warm. You stay well and happy my lotting.

I always wear socks. In the summer I will normally wear around 3 pairs of socks and in the winter around 6 or 7. That may sound ridiculous but my feet get really cold and I don't like it. I live in England btw lol. I usually buy shoes a size bigger to accomodate for the amount of socks I wear.

I am very weird I have serious issues with feet ha ha. I do not like people looking at or touching mine, nor do I like anything to touch or see anyone elses! I almost always wear socks. If I know I will be outside on very hot days for long periods of time, or will be near water I usually will wear flip flops, but that is it. The rest of the time socks for me! Ha Ha!

Hi vingyan, it depends on what shoes I put on. I would wear socks only if putting on sneaker or sport shoes. When having outdoor activities like jogging, playing badminton, long distance walk, our feet would sweat easily.
Socks would help to absorb the disgusting sweat. I like the cotton socks. The water absorption of it is quite strong They could keep our feet and the inner part of the shoes dry all the time It's more hygienic to change the socks after every use.
When wearing other types of footwear like sandals, high-heels, ... I won’t put on socks. I would put on stocking when wearing heels.

I sometimes where light short socks just to have a barrier between my feet and shoes. But, sucks wearing sock here in Palm Springs because it's also hot and humid and the socks can just become uncomfortable. At least in the winter it gets nice and cool so wearing socks isn't as bothersome.

No I dont like wearing socks unless I have to like if I'm going out and have to wear shoes for example I rarely wear shoes without socks, becuse most types of shoes don't look right to me without socks especially tennis shoes, but when I'm at home I almost never wear socks they make my feet feel uncomfortable and itchy.

If i going anywhere, before, when i am going to school i like to wear socks to not to much damage on my feet when i am going to wear shoes, if i am always at home i prefer to not to wear a shoes.

No, I don't like to wear socks. It's hot and humid too in my country (since our country is a neighbor, so the weather is same I think). During my school year, I must wear long thick socks and it leaves mark on my leg everytime I put it off after school. Even when I feel sick or cold, I don't like to wear socks. I like to feel the fabric structure of my bedsheets and wearing socks make me unable to do it..
