Hi Mylot Friends,
Let us share our experiences in terms of the different types of vehicles that we're able to drive and or experience to ride via air, water and land. Please share what are those and how was the experience? what type of vehicle/s that excites you or you're afraid to drive or ride?
Thanks for sharing.

The waves make me nauseous. So I'd pass any water transport.

Hi Eileen,
Thanks for taking the time to check on my very limited discussions. I am touched (OA--but i really am!).
Well, i too have sickness in motion but thanks to my magic tablet--bonamine, it keeps my trip so fine. i just sleep through out the trip and just wake up when i reach my destination.

Hi Ms :)) What a great discussion idea :)
I've ridden in a glider, and loved it! I also love airplanes and have traveled in small ones and large ones, both. On a vacation out West I rode in an old fashioned train, also fun. And I've been in a horse drawn sleigh, and that was fun.
I can drive a car or a truck. And when I was married, my then-husband operated heavy equipment and used to challenge me to try it out after work hours, so I've driven a farm tractor, a motor grader, and an end loader. Too fun!!
These days, I stick to my Chevy Malibu lol.

Wow Karen, just what I want to do - drive a truck! Unfortunately I don't have access to this kind of vehicles, so I guess it will remain an dream, for now.
@msfrancisco,
I also drove a motorcycle back in high school, it gives a different kind of high. But after one of my friends had an accident involving a motorcycle which caused him his life, I promised myself not to go near it again, ever.

Hi K,
You amazed me with the kind of vehicles that you drove and even rode. The horse drawn sleigh is a classic one but i know how you enjoyed it as we have a counter part of it here in our country-- instead of horse we have the carabao to pull the sleigh while passengers are in the sleigh with their farm products.
I had my share of small and big planes too for local and international travels, trains and subways too plus our local vehicles-- bus, jeepneys, tricycles and "padyaks- bike with sidecars". if you have the chance to visit our country i will tour you around and let you experience our local vehicles here... i can also drive them for you.

I've ridden mostly in cars and even a couple of limousines. I've also ridden in trains, planes, a few boats, and even a helicopter. Oh yeah, and I've ridden on the back of a motorcycle before too.
Happy mylotting!

Not too great, I'm afraid. The first time I rode in one I was rather disappointed as I thought it would be a lot bigger. It turned out to be a small limo. I think it was the smallest that they make! LOL The second time was when my maternal grandmother passed away back when I was 16 so it wasn't a joyous occasion. As far as the helicopter ride goes, it was just a quick trip up into the air and then back down again. It's not like I went anywhere! But I figured it still counted as I did go up in it. LOL

oh wow that's a lot...varied feelings for each ride. sad to hear that your second limo experience was the burial of your grandmom.
if you have more exposure to motorcycle ride you will love it just make sure you wear all the necessary safety helmets, etc.
at least you had a helicopter ride despite it being quick.

Hi Sacmom,
Thanks for responding. It's an awesome experience for you to ride in a limousine. How i wish i can ride in there too. How's the feeling? I did with planes but not with helicopter. I am looking forward of having the experience too in riding a helicopter. Motorcycle ride is also a fun and cool ride.

hello msfrancisco!
i have experienced riding in the airplane (but domestic flight only), by ship, fisherman's boat, tricycle, jeepney, car, bus, motorcycle and bicycle! haha and of all those, the only one that i can drive is the bicycle!
i never tried driving motorcycle or scooter coz i'm afraid...hehe but i enjoy riding and strolling using the motorcycle...
i have tried driving a car but i was not able to actually learn coz i just do it once with the guidance of my boss before...huh!
but all in all i enjoy each ride or each type of vehicle that i ride coz they do have their on characteristic...
riding in the fisherman boat, excites me and scares me...coz when e ride there, e just do it manually (sagwan) and its just scary coz its avy that day and its high tide and i feel like e are sinking! and hat fears me is the fact that i don't kno ho to swim!
good day!

...i remember my experience of riding in a pump boat when we were in palawan for an island hopping-- it was so great friend. you can see what down there and i love touching the waters too.
...i experienced snorkling on puerto galera during our honeymoon...fantastic. playing with those fishes and other under the sea creatures.
while riding the ship in going to mindoro my husband's place---there were also lots of dolphins. an amazing scene -- a bonus for riding these kinds of vehicles!
you can explore my very little discussions and feel free to respond my dear! thanks in advance!

Hi Ckyera,
Thanks for dropping some lines to my very few started discussions hehehe.
You had lots of experience with our local and indigenous rides. i feel excited and scared too riding fisherman's boat, but i know how to swim. At least you know how to drive the bicycle--it's a lot exciting. i learned how to drive it when i was 10 years old. i don't know how to drive the motorbike but i can drive a car. i was forced to learn how to drive and get a license as a requirement when i worked in the US.
At least you had the chance to ride an airplane. It's a good ride too. i am used to imagine myself touching and playing with the clouds!

Hi Neel,
Don't feel bad... it's not too late yet. you can have your license any time soon. I got mine when i was in my 30s. It was a requirement for my going to the United States. So i was forced to enrol and take up driving lessons. Now i have my local and international driver's license but i am too lazy to drive.
Driving it exciting... you will have lots of fun my dear!

I got my driving licence 15 years ago, but I have never been good at driving and I don't like to drive a car. My husband and I have a car, but my husband is always the driver. He likes to drives so he doesn't mind at all. My ex-boyfriend had a boat and I have learned to sail. I find it a lot easier than driving! I have never tried to fly a plane, but one of husband's friends used to be a pilot and there is a kind of arrangement every year when you can try to fly a plane (with a pilot of course) We might go next summer, my husband has talked a lot about it, and he is very interested in flying.

Hi Porcospino,
Wow you had your license at a very young age. Congrats.
You have an exciting driving exposure and experience—from land, water and air. Cheers! You are so lucky for having a friend who’s so willing to take you to fly a plane.
…and you are also blessed to have a husband to drive you and all the way and what you have to do is just to relax and enjoy the ride.
Thanks for sharing and I am happy to see you again!

For me I have taken a college bus before. I have drove many different types of cars. I have also walked a lot in my life to get around I currently have no car so my only modes of transportation are bike, bus and walk. For me its all the same. I have never been on a boat, airplane or hot air balloon but I would like to try a boat trip and a hot air balloon. As for the plane part I am not sure. After Septmeber 11th I have some real issues about getting on an airplane. I would like to try it at some point but right now I would not if you sent me a ticket.
Take care and happy mylotting.

Hi Mom,
I understand where you fear of riding a plane is coming and please allow me to give you hug for that. Let's look forward for having enough so i can save for your ticket and make your first plane trip memorable. I can also tour you around here. You will surely have a great time once you see and visit our country. Well, i can join you in taking a ride in the hot air balloon. i haven't experience that too. Riding a boat or a ship is exciting but if there are waves it will really make you feel dizzy.
At least you're exposed to driving different cars--sports? luxury? ummm--name it i know you've tried it!

Hi msfrancisco,
I've only driven small private cars, but honestly I don't have a passion for driving. If I had a choice I won't drive, but since there's no one else to drive my kids to school and myself to work, I have to do it myself.
I've traveled by airplane, a train, and by ship. I'm mostly scared of the ship, or anything that travels by water. I used to ride on top of a carabao(bull) back in the province, during rice planting and harvest time, and I did horseback riding too. That was really fun.
I have an irrational fear of heights, so driving an airplane is of remotest interest. My ultimate dream is to drive a 10-wheeler truck on a dirt road.

Hi Doryvien,
You are a good driver dory. i experienced that in one of our clinic visits and other "escapades"... you may not want it but you have the skill and grace to drive. I hate water-based travel the waves make me dizzy. Fear of heights? it's not obvious, you're able to manage it when we had our out of town trips (official--i know) but i am excited to see you trying to fly a plane. With the skill you have i know you can make it mama.
Well, i will pray for your wish of owning a 10-wheeler truck one day. It's good for bottling delivery. You can work with coca-cola and pepsi to start your bottled drinks delivery business! Thanks.

Hi msfrancisco
We have one Maruti Alto LX1 car which I drive. i am not not afraid of driving any car or vehicles. But only thing is I do not have licence and I don't need to as it will be driven by either my husband or my son. I do not have that much skill. Every day my son asks me to take the car out and he will help me in learning and its skills. But i am afraid of driving in traffic.

Hi Vathsala,
You are crazy friend for driving lots of cars/vehicles without carrying any license hehehehe. You are so courageous to be on the road without it. Now i understand why you feared of traffic-- just in case you make a violation you don't have a license and that will make the trouble double. Constant practice will help you overcome your fear and of course you fully gain your confidence in driving once you get your license. Go for it girl! Thanks for responding!
