Roomba!

Is there a gadget or an item that you would like to have because it would make life easier for you? I've always wanted a Roomba vacuum cleaner. Lately, I would like it more because it would be easier on my back. Of course it costs way too much for me to buy. So is there something you would like, simply because it would fulfill a need of yours? Or make something easier for yourself?

Oh this one is easy. I would love to have a dishwasher. I have always wanted one but never could afford it. My house has so many people coming and going so this would help out a lot as none of us like washing up. I so dislike it but do it as I hate a kitchen with dishes in the sink!

When I was looking for apartments, a requirement they had to have was a dishwasher.

Hi Cynthiann! I have a dishwasher that has only been used once in four years...it's brand new. You can have it if you want...lol. I find having one more of a hinderance than a help. When I cook, I clean up as I go, so that there is never a mess at the end. A lot of cookware is not dishwasher safe. That's always the worst part of clean up, and if they can't go in, what is the point? It took a bit of work, but I've 'trained' family members to each wash their own dishes and utensils. That way no one has a big job, and we never have a sinkful of dishes. It's become so automatic that when my kids have friends over, they wash their own dishes too.

A car would be nice... since i now have two jobs... and both of them require me to travel miles... but of course before i get a car... i need to get my driver's license first... and then tranfer to an apartment with a big enough garage... a car would make my life a lot easier since it will save me a lot of time...

I want power tools usually. I still do not use them, but I want them. One year Sander Claus came to see me. I just wish I managed my time better and had more of it in a day.

Yessireee there AmbiePam, and the item would be called a "ROMAID," or a robot maid, haha!!! Then she can turn on her Roomba and get on with the other housework. I'm too busy working on the computer to clean and my kitty won't help at all, she says she's too old and likes to be pampered all day. That's why I want the Romaid!

I would love a really fancy coffee machine like the ones in the coffee shops. I have a small cappuccino maker but it is not great and the coffees are usually cold! If I had one of those beautiful big ones, not that I would know where to put it mind you but who cares this is just a fantasy anyway, I would make yummy lattes and cappuccinos all day! Uhmmm…I could have coffee parties! I wonder how much they would cost. Way too much is my guess...

Yes! I want a cricket cutter! Since my daughters and I teach the babies in Sunday School, and I always have the grandbabies and the nieces and nephews, I think this would be a great investment. Plus Lauren is majoring in education so she could use it to cut out her bulletin board shapes, her calendar numbers and letters, as well as art patterns and posters. I love it because it will cut almost any material.

Good morning, Ambie...I certainly can see your need for a "roomba" but in all honesty...wrack my brain, I cannot think of a gadget that I would like to have...I think maybe, I am over-gadgeted! My dearest Mother-n-law, (may be rest in peace) had a penchant for gadgets, and they topped her list of gift giving...and it almost got to be the day that I rued "Starfrit" for coming out with anything new! With love, I am slowly dispensing.."the gadgets" to our FREE Store! Please give us an update on how you are feeling? Have a great weekend...and Cheers, dear girl!

I saw something on TV called The Shark it steam cleans your hardwood floors and does some other stuff too I thought that would be nice but I read a review on it yesterday and the person said it dulls the floors. I also saw this steam cleaning machine with brushes that looked really nice and would make it easier to keep the kitchen cleaner especially the cabinets and stuff. The price was a little high on that too.

: ) Santa would be the one who would have to buy me one considering none of my family could afford to get me one. But I don't really need one anyway. : )

Charlene's Room - Can you see why I'd like a trash compactor?
Roomba's aren't very helpful, unless you have almost nothing for furniture. They tend to get stuck all over the place. What some one needs to invent is a remote control vacuum that runs with a game-type controller. It would be fun, or if you have kids they'd probably fight over the chance. Or, maybe have a controller that is designed to look like a tv remote. Then any men in the family would take over the chore entirely...lol. While you are recovering, perhaps you should consider getting a really light-weight stick vacuum. Just do touch-ups. After when you are feeling better, they are still handy to have around. About the only gadget I'd like to have is a trash compactor. I'd keep it right outside my step-daughter's room....

I also want to buy a vacuum cleaner for the house. I need some other member of the family to agree with me. There are some concerns about the efficiency of the products in relation to its price.

Yes, one has to do a lot of comparing in relation to how well they work versus how much they cost.

Yep I would like the Robot Vacuum Cleaner that goes round by itself (would like to see Gissi argue with that one lol) but also very much out of my Price Range

I do not know what a Roomba vaccuum cleaner is but maybe you can ask your family to put in for it for a christmas present for you? I wish there was a magic gadget that would fold and hang my clothes for me! I don't mind cleaning the toilet, washing up, mopping the floor or even washing and hanging out my clothes but I can't stand having to fold an hang clothes up afterwards! I'm just lazy I guess.
