then just to top it off it gets infected and then to make it worse you let your mother loose on it with a pin that then hurts. It hurts soo much that i am having a big problem with trying to type.I would not mind as much, but i can not remember how i hurt it to begin with.

Been there and done that. My frequent thing is to end up with paper cuts on my fingers. To me, it happens at least one time a week that I end up with a paper cut on my finger from all of the paper shuffling that I do. Then, once I've ended up with the paper cut, I catch that little flap of skin on everything that I come into contact with on my hands. It is awful and the little cut that shouldn't take more than a few days to heal ends up taking a week or more to quick causing me to suffer.

Paper cuts are worse than alot of cuts as you do not notice straight away until you see it bleeding every where.

Yes, I have. But there was one time many years ago when I hurt one of my fingers while playing pingpong. I got my fingers seriously hurt while smashing the bat at the table. The middle finger got swollen and ever since it has been bigger in the joint than all the other fingers. I feel so bad for it.

Hi there my friend. Well the injuries at hand fingers are not something out of the ordinary for me, especially when it's called i manage to "cut" them with paper, or with other things. The worst i had was a pain at one of my toes that i have no memory of hurting and if when i left home for college i was perfectly fine, meanwhile a pain started and by the time i got home i could barely crawl that leg to get home...

I got a huge bruise on my left shoulder a while back. I did not remember bumping anything, or any other stuff, it just happened, and it swoll up huge, A few days later it turned all sorts of colors.

Yes. I have done that before but I think mainly it had to do with my fingernail hurting. I have no idea how it happens but it just does. I think we get our nails caught on things and then they get sore.

They certainly can. Never understood how such a little, insignificant cut could be so very painful.

Yes this has happen to me and when I see the blood on my finger I wonder how did I do that. I will clean the cut and then put ointment on it and a bandaid on the cut. Lots of people get bruise and do not remember bumping into anything I am one of them.

it'a called a gate way to pain. our bodies do not recognize but one kind of pain and if you are aching and your finger gets in the way, you do know it till you rest. just use some neosporin and a band aid and type really carful.

I agree mostly. Small cuts are irritating and heal faster but larger cuts get your attention faster :)

Maybe is because im a little distracted.

I think that has happened to most people. I often find bruises that I don't know where they came from. Since the injury is on your hand and if it is possible when not typing hold your hand up above your heart, just rest your elbow and hold it vertically, this will reduce the amount of blood going to the injury and it will hopefully give a little pain relief. Using a ice bag will reduce selling and in that way reduce the pain too, PS if you have an open wound try not to get it wet as it will take longer to heal. That's all I can think of right now. Hope you get better soon.

'green' thumb - an idiomatic expression of someone who is a master at gardening. This time though in my situation, it was literally a green thumb.
Reading this reminds me of the time when I felt an itch on my thumb. I really didnt mind it, just thought it was an itch that will go away. The next day however, it got worse. It was itchy still but it hurts and seems to be swollen. The third day it became green. At that day, my Dad decided to stick a pin on it and let the pus out. It did hurt but it felt better when the pus was out and it returned to its normal size. It wasnt green anymore though.^_^ I dont remember having my thumb bitten by any bug, but my parents told me that it's the bite of a specific smelly bug that lives in the canals. We have a local term for it but I dont know its English name. I could never forget that incidence because that's the first and only time that I ever saw a real life "green thumb".

It was awful. I remember it did hurt but it feels like something else. The only word that I could describe the pain is: weird. I remember crying over this, partly because of the pain, and partly for the pin.^_^
