okay this question is based on the movie starring Chris Rock, where he prematurely died and was given the body of another man and came back to earth. He looked completely different and he was living in the world of the man whose body he was occupying, no one else knew but him. They thought he was the other person. Chris Rock still had his own thoughts and ideas and did some pretty weird things that the other man would never do but the real chris rock would. Now here is the question, If this could happen, please don't tell me it won't I know it won't but just for the fun of it, if this could happen and you died but came back as another person, with your own thoughts you had before you died, who is the real you, the new person you came back to be or the old you, is the real you only in a new body, please provide a reason why you think that way, remember there are no right and wrong answers for this question, but a thoughtful answer with a reason why will get the best response

No matter what body I got back into my thoughts and actions would have to be the real me. FOr it looks like I just take over that body and do my own thing. I wonder if any one would know it was me in there and not that other person?

well no because your mind is in the body, but you are the person whomever you came into being so you would act and do what that person does. It is kinda like the concept of an old soul that has been around for many centuries, like reincarnation, only the difference is in this question and movie you know you were somebody else before nobody else does.

Interesting question. I would think the conscious mind would tell the story. That intity would be leading the show. The real you is the one you think you are. We are who we are. The subcouscious self is the real person no matter who the outer person is. You just look different and good luck explaining it to family and friends!

so the real you is the old soul who still has conciousness and the new body is just a shell?

In that particular instance, yes. Not usually the case.

If ever that happens to me, most likely I would still be myself but maybe I would do other things I have never done using my own body before. Since I will be using another body, I can do extra ordinary things and be more free-spirited I guess. You have been given another life right why do the same things over and over again when you can explore new things without hesitation since this is a new body.

I saw that movie too! But I admit it was very boring and I didn't finished watching it... after 2 attempts... Interesting question. I think we're more our insides than our outsides. The real me in that case would be the inner me, I mean, old me. That would be the one still holding my thoughts and my personality.

That's an interesting question. Well, I don't know for sure. At first I thought, well I would be just me...but then again, if I'm getting a second chance - I think I would be a different person. I'd probably try to take part in different activities and perhaps be more outgoing (I am very introverted). Wouldn't anyone try something new if they came back to this world again, if not to be better than they were but to have new experiences?

Well, it's your thoughts that make you you, so I guess the new person you came back to be would still be you, just in different packaging. Now I have a question for you: Did they do yet another remake of Heaven Can Wait while I wasn't paying attention? Hollywood just loves these switcheroos, doesn't it?

yep chris rock is in this movie, the new 1990's version. yeah putting somebody in a disabled body just wouldn't fly for hollywood but you know I bet you could sell them that idea because I don't think it has ever been done before.

I think I would try to fit in as best I can and learn about the person whose body I am inhabiting, but I think my over all personality and definitely my morals would still be mostly intact. I think I would be a combination of them and me out of consideration to the people who loved that person. But I think the heart wants, what the heart wants and my heart would want my family. it would be very difficult not to try and search out my family and be with them or in their lives somehow. But me being me I would try really hard to be sensitive to everyone involved.

this is a very interesting response, no one brought this issue up so far, yeah I think I would try to be close to my family as well, if there was a way that that could happen.

The real me is a funny person. I am very humorous and love to laugh and make others laugh. I hate to be mean, but am very short tempered. I fly off the handle alot and sometimes don't think things through long enough before acting. I don't talk a lot when you first meet me, I am a really shy person, and it takes awhile for me to warm up to you. I can be conceited but also self concious. I hate people that are cocky and ignorant. I especially hate liars and cheaters. I love to write poetry and listen to music and dance. I love watching movies and partying. I love my family and wouldn't trade them for the world. I am a straight up person, you always know where you stand with me, I don't sugar coat things. If I have a problem I will confront it. I can be overly emotional and feel greatly for others. I hate to make people upset.
