I think more celebrities should do such as what Corey Feldman did...

As you should know by now Corey Haim died on March 10. My favorite films he was in and ones you might recall are Lost Boys(which he is most famous for) and Lucas(loved him in this one)and Murphy's Romance. I just read on MSN movies where his best friend Corey Feldman has said for the media to please not go crazy at the funeral and back off as he has decided to respect his friend's family wishes and stay in LA and will plan a memorial along with other friends later on. I wish that more celebs would use their celebrity statis to get the media to respect others in times like this. I would hope that the media would have some simblance of respect and consideration but I am finding that not to be true. They are out for the almighty dollar and will do ANYTHING to get a picture. Your thoughts. Stories.

It is true that anything that is sad, draws the press to feed the morbid curiosity of people who need to get a life of their own.I do not think enough emphasis is placed on respect these days.

I'm with gardengerty on this one, when did it become okay to intrude on someones life because they are a celebrity? This family isn't burying an actor or a celebrity. They are burying their child. Would we want our pictures palstered all over at tsuch a time in our lives? Would the people shoving the microphones and cameras in poeples faces, be okay if it were done to them. Respect is lacking in this generation of instant news and global coverage.

Respect and consideration. I try to live by the golden rule and I wish more people would. Look at the other person, not just yourself. See what they might want and then respect that! That is how I see it.
