Would you reveal your personal informations here in myLot?

Just in case, someone ask your personal infos like what's your real name, where are you residing, what's your phone number, email address, and other personal infos, are you going to tell him/her? Would you think that it will be rude if you won't tell him/her? Let's assume that the one who was asking was not really close to you, you just met him/her in discussions. So how open are you? For me, I won't let anyone knows about my personal infos, not unless he/she was close to me already. How about you, what are your thoughts about this? Would you reveal your personal informations to other myLotters who are not yet close to you? I would be glad to hear from you. Have a nice day! Happy myLotting!

I wouldn't reveal those information here in mylot or any other social sites. It would be better for me to keep my identity here so that I wouldn't hold back in anything I want to discuss here. I told my ex before about my blogs and my account here and it turned out she was following everything I wrote here and in my blogs after we broke up. I wasn't able to write freely after I knew what she was doing. That is why I would rather keep my identity here and in my blogs a secret.

I've told one or two of my mylot friends my name and the city where I live in (I think it's even on my profile). I think it's safe as long as I don't give out my address or my telephone number. Even if it's a new mylot friend, I think I would still tell him or her my real name but I try my best to be careful. The internet can be a scary place sometimes.

I only reveal a limited amount of information in one social networking site I signed up with. I made it a rule that for any site I sign up with -- especially a site which includes monetary issues -- to never reveal any personal information that would be used against me. =) It's good to be cautious.

NO NO NO.. I will still keep my personal information private. Nowadays, we should not trust other people easily. Let's face it, good friends with bad intentions are every where. It may sounds offending but prevention is always better than cure. I always think of the possible consequences of my every action.

I personally wouldnt part with any of my personal information expect from which country i am. I cant and will not believe in anybody on the net. It is filled with people too evil to take chances. I feel a lot secure talking with people who dont ask personal information. I dont even prefer to share private info even with close one as there are chances of others getting hold of the info.

I think it is good to be open and honest and alway felt that way. But if somebody is asking for personal details, then I would be honest and tell them that I am not going to reveal personal details about myself unless that person was my wife or close member of my family of course.
It would be foolish of me to put anything that is personal on any website on the Internet as that information could be used to cause problems or take my money or identity!

Hi,
I think it is difficult for people to reveal their personal information on sites like mylot. I would never like to share any of my personal info here. I do not think it is rude not to reveal your information on Mylot. People should understand this basic thing and respond accordingly.

Hi,a name or an e mail, why not, if you're in a relationship of friendship, we are not wild, we are decent and real people, but we need to know where friendship ends and where the stupidity start, how to give our exact address , never know what can happen.

i guess its not allowed to post it here in mylot. any personal information will be deleted by admin to keep the safety of each member as we know that this site is a public site and can be accessed internationally. if they want to do that thought private message then its all depends to them.

I would never reveal my personal information here, as you never know what will that person do with it. There are many bad people out there, so you can't just go and trust everyone. I only reveal my information to people I trust and I know in real life

Unless I've known him/her pretty well, I won't tell.. But no matter who they are, I won't tell where I live or my full name..
I think it's pretty wise to keep our identity a secret online as we would never know who will read this discussion.

I don't mind sharing personal information, as long as it is not security related. In fact there are several posters here who share their first names.

I would give my personal information to people I knew on here for a while. Those that are constant and stable. Ones I have known for years. If it were a emergency or they were coming to see me. I can always change telephone numbers and I never give more that I receive so I doubt there would be a problem.

I do discuss most of the personnel things on Mylot but there is a limit for everything and so is in discussion. I share the information which will not harm me in any case and cannot me misused.

Yes, but now a days there are people who will talk about there every step on Facebook.. I do not think that is a good way of being connected .. we should be in communication but should not be sharing everything that we do.

It depends on the info they want to know if its just my nickname then why not? I cannot go further than my nickname and all info will be kept confidential and why need to bother much about anything if just a simple info I think its just simple answer whether to tell the truth or just pretend nothing..I don't have much thing to reveal to someone whom I just meet here
