I wonder this all the time though. What makes a person, or lends toward, a persons choice of usernames. Like mine for instance. Mine is: celticeagle. I am very proud of my heritiage and so using my Irish and Native American background really works for me. What about you! Do you just use some initials and a last name or maybe just your first name. Or, have you concocted some original username that is just you? Do you use funny take offs on a famous book, or personalities name? What is your thought on your reasoning for coming up with what you feel is the perfect username for you? Do you want to change it and can't think of a good one? Are you perfectly happy with the one you have?

hi celticeagle I have always loved you avatar. Your heritage is one to be proud of. My forbears were Scottish and Irish. I use my last name Hatley as much because its easy to remember and also to honor my late husband. The Hatleys originally came from Scotland.so I did not use much ingenuity just more like laziness on my part. I could not think of a clever user name so just used my last name.

Well, hello Ms. Hatley! I think you have done a fine thing in honoring your late husband. Clever is not always a must.

When I read your name though, I think of a big straw hat with pink flowers, something that an old fashioned girl would wear. I think I was drawn to Celtic Eagle by her name, she seemed interesting.

hi thats so odd, as I had a hat like that in my early twenties and was a probie nurse,on day off and I got caught in the rain, and my white straw hat with the pink flowers just collapsed and I was covered with what looked like diluted white paint, and in church I had to sit in the very back, me in my Easter dress with white paint streaks and the droopy hat. my, was I embarrassed too.I have not worn a hat for years but back in South Dakota we used to wear hats to church and other places too,oh yes and gloves which i really hated. he he.

I like my user name. I wish I had used the same one on every site I have been on. I have on most of them. Garden Gerty is a clown character I used to portray. She was a little grubby, kind of simple, and very nice. I would love to be more like her. I kind of get to be her, when I am talking to people online. I will have to see if I can come up with my outfit and get a picture of her, and use that as an avatar. Clowns traditionally are grouped in three groups--auguste, the foolish braggart show off guy or gal, usually with a pink face, may act like someone who is drunk; white face who is usually the "smart" one and may actually wear the satin and bling costumes, with lots of frills within white face you will see delicate and grotesques, and the third type is the hobo type, and that is where Garden Gerty falls. Usually they are simple, childlike and maybe sometimes sad. Think of the clown sweeping the spot light on Red Skelton, or the chore woman Carol Burnett portrayed.

I loved Red and Carol. You should get your garb on and take a cute picture. Bet it would be great. I like all three types. So you used to portray a clown character? I remember the white faced clown James Stewart portrayed in The Greatest Show On Earth. He was hiding out. Thanks for the info. I learned a lot.

was in a program years ago and had a time thinking of a name but I did come up with Lakota and a friend of mine made the avatar for me and I love it. So I will keep it. and the name really came from a movie with Lou Diamond Phillips in it

Well I use 2 different user-names depending on what type of account it is, for serious stuff and business I use my initials and last name, on fun sites like mylot I use this one. I came up with this one years ago because I was literally a beaniefanatic, the number is my birth date and it's also never taken when I sign-up for something. Happy Mylotting!!!

Mine is quite an easy and obvious one, as my name is Karen and I was born in 1969. I use several user names around the web, but often a variation on the theme and sometimes with UK in there too, as that is where I live. So nothing too exotic here!

I used my first pups name and combined it with Ann so people would know I am feminine.

when I first got into computers, I joined some IRC channels, everyone has to have a nickname, I started with my friend's name, but everyone thought I was a guy so I needed a feminine nick. I tried destiny for awhile but there were so many other people using that nick as well. Then I decided I wanted to be a rose, and again there were so many roses, rose, tearose, redrose, yellowrose, tallrose, and so on, so I decided to be wintterose, I had to cut one of the r's because the system wouldn't take that many letters, so it was shortened to winterose. I chose winter because I live in Canada and roses grow in vancouver in the winter, but not here in MOntreal, however my grandmother who raised me, had a favorite song she would rock me to sleep with when I was little, it was called you can't pick a rose in december, and that is how I became winterose.

I use is my first name and behind it is the year where the first time I was here. Maybe someone asked me why my first name is the name of the moon, the reason is a time where I was born. Nothing special for me, and I liked a memorable name. My parents who gave the name, I'm proud of them.

Actually I use the name that my mother wanted to give to em. but then i never got that name because my father wanted me to name his name. But while growing my mother still call me the name she wanted to and that became my nickname. I sometimes use it as usernames and if not that name then the name they call me at school. but I don't usually make up a name unless I'm in a position where the website does not want that name or that name is already taken.

Hello Ms Celticeagle, I'm so much happy with my username, from a previous discussions I had few months back, I've been using it for so many years now, the only thing was added was the number at the end of it.I love looking at sky with those clouds forming especially during windy day, they were quiet fast to form and brings rain to the earth and sometimes just vanished, with the number at the end its the date of my birth,at 31st is my day of birth which I consider my treasure number of all as I have been brought out into this world with that date. My mom told me that it was sunny with patches of cloud at the sky when she gave birth on me in the early autumn. But in most of my account I used cloud for always,I just love it and no thought of changing it so far. Have a lovely and blessed Sunday! Take care

I tried every username I could think of when I first joined mylot. I tried cowgirl, countrygirl, horserider, countrysinger, etc. and every one of them had been taken. You name it, I tried it, lol. I finally decided to try cyrus because I like Billy Ray Cyrus so much. That one hadn't been taken and that's the one they stuck me with.
