You and your stinking bad habits!!!!!

OK, we all have our bad habits. And we all have bad habits of other people that annoy us. But how many of you are annoyed by something even though you do the exact same thing? Here's an example of one that I find myself doing. I ask the kids a question, husband butts in and responds for them, and I get annoyed and say "I wasn't asking YOU". But I do the same thing sometimes. OK, your turn. Go!

I hate it when my husband shushes us when he’s watching TV! My daughter and I will start a conversation and he will raise his hand and abruptly says, “Shush!!” It is so hurtful to be on the receiving end of a big ‘shush’ but guess what I do the same thing when I’m watching Supernatural!

People smacking their lips. I know sometimes I do it....try not too at all but when you listen to someone else sitting next to you and they are smacking away that's what I would like to do to them. Smack them!

Ah well I can relate to wanting to get to the last bit of ice cream. Especially in comparison to the rest of the hospital food...

It is annoys me that when I am watching television and my husband won't shut up. But to be fair their are a lot of times I will do the same thing to him. I just can't help it sometimes. It is the only time he is still enough to talk to him is when he is planted in front of the tube. And she he usually only listens with half his brain anyhow. I am used to his half-as$ answers.

My husband likes to turn the channel when I am interested in a show or movie and it has like between 15-30 minutes left of it..drives me nuts and he refuses half the time to turn it back..but then gripes if I get online. It is best that I redirect that anger and focus that at something else and let it patter out then knock him over the head with something which I feel like doing most times. But I am so glad because we are having the cable turned off soon or so he says..but I can't see him doing without his shows. He says he is having it turned off every month for over a year and still hasn't had it turned off..lol

I can't think of any bad Habits that are the same to someone else I do have bad Habits lol I know I do but I can not think that they are the same to anyone elses Bt the one that I do hate is if you are talking someone on the Phone and you have someone in the background that needs to make themselves known by shouting things even though they do not know the Person I have a Friend like that and it really annoys me lol

I hate that too. On the other hand, my husband will be on the phone, and I will interrupt and he will totally ignore me. Thing is, I never interrupt unless there is something really important that needs to be said to the person on the other end.

ma'am Dawny. I don't have stinking habits. I bathe twice a day, you know. I hate when i am on the phone and someone next to me start talking or wanting to add to the conversation i am having on the phone. But when i do the same for them to feel how freaking awesome that feels, they bite my head off. Now i ask you, why is that? TATA.

cus people don't like being interrupted on the phone, but when it's them, what they're saying is too too important! Two baths a day? What if there's a water shortage?

I like to offend people. Actually it's not like I get some sadistic pleasure out of it, I do it to make a point. It's no use to get offended as long as it is a joke. And my friends understand that and actually like my jokes. Well, except when they're really really bad. That's like crossing the line and even I do my best not to do it. Oh, and I also lick knifes after I spread or cut something tasty. My mom HATES that.

I do think I have very little patience for some things that my spouse or daughter does and then when they catch me doing some of the same things, it does not seem so bad to me or I expect them to be more forgiving. I guess that is very hypocritical when you think about it but at the time I am only focused on what annoys me, even if it is something I do also.

My bad habit is often fart indiscriminate places. This is not mean I don't know etiquette. This I do because often can't hold it. If I can hold it, my abdomen would bloating. This is certainly not comfortable for me, right?

I yell at everyone here for not cleaning up their mess . . . you look around this place and there's stuff EVERYWHERE! Oh - um - oops - I guess a lot of it is MY stuff too - hee hee. Well, hopefully this scenario changes after my daughter is off to kindergarten in a few weeks . . . I can actually clean up when baby boy takes a nap. Or should I hang out at myLot during that time? Hee hee.

I'm used to be annoyed by smokers although i'm a smoker myself. That's when i was just starting to indulge myself to the habit. But now i don't even care if i'm with a thousand smokers as long as there's no non-smoker that smells the second-hand smoke around.

Probably my worst one is yelling. I get very upset with my husband if he yells at the kids, but then I do it, too. sigh. It's a terrible habit! He's never called me out on it though, which is very wise on his part, lol.

I call my husband out on it, but then he has the tendency to get out of control, and if it gets to the point where I think the children need my protection, I get right in there.

haha that's hypocritical. Yeah I get your point, I do the same thing. I often don't like people finishing my sentences but I finish other peoples sentences. My girlfriend laughs everytime I do that because she knows that I don't like it and yet again I do it myself.

Mildly hypocritical maybe. Not on the same level as preaching family values and then going out and having an affair though.

Hi dawny! Another great discussion! Take a bow girlfriend! I have a habit, as my friends tell me of talking "over" them~ personally, I don't believe them, they just don't shut up and listen! But, as for irritating things others do, oh paleezz! The bf sucks his teeth while he eats, after, hours later! I want to kill him! And my mother hits the fork against her teeth with every bite! I want to kill her too! And my best friend has food all over her face and has no idea and her nose is running too! This is the reason I prefer to eat alone or with my cats!

Sounds like your pet peeves mostly revolve around eating! With conversations, sometimes it is really hard for me to figure out when the person is done and I can say something. Then there are things on my mind and they just have to come out!

I want everything kept in the proper place and when this does not happen I see red but every single day, there would be questions about 'have you seen my cooling glasses', 'where on earth did I keep my umbrella?' 'Please, please, where is the Readers' Digest I was going through yesterday?'........ all because I would have misplaced them all

Oooh I hate not being able to find my things, but usually when that happens, it's because somebody else moved them. Thing is, when my husband gets in a cleaning frenzy, nothings safe, and you'd think that I'd have learned by now, that things left in certain places should be moved before they are removed!
