We all hear about children that do prank calls to all the emergency services.Well now that we have less police on the streets they are still doing things to waste their time.I hope that all the people now that waste all the polices time will end up getting prosecuted for wasting their time. Some people are soo pathetic.

There are alot of people that let children walk around the streets rather than looking after their own children and that is when they are getting up to things like prank calls and alot of other things. These are the parents that want the children,so they should get a fine for them doing the things like prank calls.Alot of the parents do not work,so they are the ones that are not having to pay tax,as they are also taking taxs from people that do work.

Here if they waste their time making false reports or fake calls then they are fined and go to jail. That's the way it should be. Because while they are taking the time to go for false calls or taking false calls someone is in a real emergency and can not get help.

You are right there, also the people that waste the polices time by saying that they want to press charges on a person only to drop the charge.I wish that a few more people would get fined for wasting the time of others,as like you say there are alot of other things that they could be doing rather than wasting there time on these wasters that also put our taxs up.

I think these people should be held accountable if they are wasting the police's time. They are peaceofficers as well so sometimes the call is alittle pathetic but is under the dome of what they have to answer to. Some people are pathetic and just expect to have the police as referees, cat rescuers and all manner of things that don't really seem like their line of work. And they have big hearts and do decide to help sometimes when they don't really need to.

I agree with you. There used to be curfews when I was young and truint officers that were out and about during hours when kids should be in school and we got in alot of trouble if caught out and not in school. I agree with the fining of parents. I love it when the judges do that. I think it shocked the parents and hopefully is a wake up call for them.

I think that there would be alot less prank calls, aswell as trouble if there was a kerfew on what time children should be off the streets, that would also save a few calls that are made to the police.I think that a kerfew should also be enforced and when it is broke then the parents get a fine, then if it happens too many times do something else or make the fine bigger each time.It would save the police time aswell as money.

I think that alot of the parents should get fined when there child is out really late walking the streets,as it seems like there are do not care or want their children,so leaving everyone else to tolorate their childs behaviour.I wish that we had a curfew,as i think that alot of parents would feel more hurt with a fine, rather than care what could be happening while their child is out walking the streets.

When I was younger a couple of my friends pulled a fire alarm. They got fined, for a false alarm, but I could never understand why they did it and still don't

Yeh, I don't understand this phenomenon. As a teen I pulled my share of prank calls but they were always to my friends and family. Picking on emergency services was NOT COOL and it still isn't!

Yeah, I know. When my daughter was a toddler she accidentally rang the 911 twice. They called me back and was my face red when I had to explain that she was only 16 months old!

Some places people do get prosecuted for filing false charges or for playing prank emergency calls.
People do not realize how serious this is.
I have read that people even call 911 (US emergency number) when the fast food place runs out of food. Bad

YEah, i just happened to read one such article in the local newspaper today, regarding these ple wasting polices time. There are some pranksters calling the police station, to ask for directions and bus services to go some other place..
WHile there are some stupid ple, calling just to ask the time, and some even called to get fre transport home just because they dun have money!!
Such ple will be provided with free shelter and food as well, by staying in th prison!! haha

People just like to be silly. They want to portray an image that will make them look crazy. They like being silly and they have nothing better else to do with their time.
I hope that they will get prosecuted as well. Playing games and calling the police for nothing will get them into big trouble. I hope that they will stop being so childish. The more prank calls that they make, the more that the police will stop taking them seriously very soon. So they better stop with all of the prank call games.

You are right there, these people should think about other people that may need urgent help, rather than being idiots. These are the people that have nothing better todo as they lead sad and lonely lives. As for alkl the people that also get the police todo paper work and then they say that they do not want to take things further then they are also wasting their time.

I agree with you completely. It is always the same small portion of society that are the ones that call the police. They will call them over every small little thing like their spouse yelling at them to needing someone to help them find their missing pet. That said, I really think that there are far more important things that the police need to be doing with their time. They should be taking care of the drunk drivers, the theifs, etc. It really shouldn't be up to the police to constantly have to respond to the same domestic disputes.

Hi Jugsjugs!.
This kid today seem more creative (IN CRIME) than us when we are child. When I was child I don't dare messing around with policeman, because they are so nice with me, they help me to cross a street every morning when I was go to school.

Police should not have to deal with things like this when there is so much crime going on everywhere.
I heard a news story once where this woman called the cops because a fast food place ran out of a particular item, and substituted a different item. She said she was not leaving till she got that item and called the police on the restaurant. I thought this was so ridiculous.
