Is it luck, or do I just have a knack for it?

I'm talking about getting free stuff. Last week, we picked up some free stuff from a family giving pretty much everything in their garage away. This included a huge Christmas tree, some knick knacks for the fireplace mantle, an oriental doll that they said brings good luck to whoever owns it, and some other stuff. Today, we picked up a BBQ, which prices upwards of $200 o more, and tomorrow I may be picking up a treadmill. So, I wonder if this is luck, or if I simply have a knack for finding good free items.

I believe you have all three, luck, knack and timing. Who could ask for anything more. You are truly blessed these days and I wish you plenty more. Me well I am glad when and if I can get, but thankfully for right now I do not need much.

I know this time of year when everyone just wants a good clear out are just getting rid of as many things as possible and they find it easier to put things out side for people to take for free as that way they can get rid of it there and then.People tend to throw loads of great things away, the other week a woman up the road put a pc and a leater settee outside free.I think that if you need or want the things that people do not want then it is great as there are alot of nice things that we can get for nothing,i am never that lucky.I think that some people are in the right place at the right time.

I must have that same knack too! I've found and gotten tons of free stuff that I've either kept and used or re-sold for money! That is great that you got all that wonderful stuff! There are a lot of people who get done with garage sales for the weekend and then just give the rest away. I lived in a really nice apartment complex and people would just throw perfectly good stuff away. I've found 10 Winnie the Pooh collector's plates in perfect condition, a dog cage, sewing mannequin, purple bagless vacuum, carpet cleaner vacuum, movies, clothes, clothes and more clothes! Dishes, toys, stuffed animals, books, and tons of other stuff. Even at the apartments I live at people still throw good stuff away (well they put it next to the garbage for someone to pick up) so I am always looking for stuff to sell or use in my own home!

That seem to be luck for you or the people have to move out of there fast and don't have time to sell their stuff.Who know it is your lucky day.

I often do not respond quickly enough to freecycle, but when I really needed a stove I got a good one, and then today I spoke for something I want to use at a later date. I will be picking it up tomorrow. You are open to receiving things and so you are finding them.

It seems like it's both. We just need to know where to look sometimes, because sometimes there's money on the floor but we just don't see it.

You surely have a knack for this. Back when i was ten i used to find 25 cents all the time. Whether it's at home or at school. I always put it in my drawer til one day it just piled up and i was able to buy a cheap toy with it.

Well, it's not simply luck but an opportunity. It is great for you and your family. Grabbing the chance to acquire those free stuffs is good for you, right? If that would come to my family, I would do the same thing. I would surely be glad about it!
