Well it took over 2 hours to make the cats their cat tree and it was well worth the trouble. They play on it all day going up and down and then when they are tired from playing they end up going to sleep on it.I have photos of all the different bits on the toy in my profile photos, so you can have a look if you want.I would say that this is the best investment for my cats so far.

I have cats as well as dogs and they are all entertaining. My friend says the cat tree is more like a palace, so she has named it the cat palace, lol.I would not have been happy if they did not like it after all the time it took to put together, as well as how much money it cost.

I'm sure your cats appreciate what u did for them. It's like they are like to nature once again, doing all the climbing, jumping, scratching in their own comfort. It has to be your best investment so far because not every cat lovers are willing to go the distance like u do, especially in your physical condition now. I really respect u for that!

You did a good job! That is a nice house for your kitties. They love it I'm sure. They do look so cute asleep on the levels.
I use to make things like that for my cats when I had them. I have not had a cat, an inside one for about 10 years now. Snowden was the last one. She belonged to my daughter and she was all white with really long hair, (a persian).
I have made things for the cats outside that live or stay in my woods or on the property. Nothing like that though as the carpet would ruin.

I bought it from a shop, but it took over two hours to put it together, lol. As we were trying to put it together the cats wanted to play on the bits that we had put together, as well as the bits that we had not.My friend loves popping in to see the cats on their toy, now she wants a cat so she can get the cat tree, as she said she could sit and watch them for hours,as they are really amusing.

That is so awesome. I have been wanting to get a cat tree at Petsmart as I too have 2 cats. They are just so expensive.
I am gonna take a good look at yours but the materials for me to purchase and make one seem to come out about the same as to just get it made.
thanks for the idea and awesome pics!

I went to a shop where i was told that they had some and i also had a friend who got me ten percent off the price, which was great.Another friend came to see me and she helped do all the bits like lifting and standing to make it, it should have said make upside down on the box, as this can not be made up the right way.So when it was made i had to get another person to help my friend put it up the right way, that was funny to watch as well. The cats also tried to play while it was being made, lol.

Not only is it a good investment for them it seems to be good for you as well. It keeps you happy to see them enjoy it and it is an ever changing scenery. I think pets are much more grateful than humans about favors.

Did you make that yourself? Or did you buy it in pieces and put it together? Which ever it is, it's looks awesome! You did a fantastic job and your cats look like they're really enjoying it! I have one that I need to take the scratching rope off and put new on. I've done it once and I'll do it again.... eventually. lol I'd like to make one myself like the box bed like you have in the picture and make something like three levels of box beds so they all can have a place to hide. Maybe some day I'll do that too!

I bought it and then had to make it all up.It did not say that it would take over two hours with help as well on the box, lol. My cats love it, they are always climbing and jumping around on it and then have a cat nap, before they start all over again. It is great to see them all playing together, keeps me entertained for ages, lol.

lol =D A tree house for the cats right inside your house?? haha
That's kinda weird but it should be a nice sight, especially when all the cats are playing around it.. haha =D It does not matter if it's worth the trouble because no matter what, cats likes to climb, and it's a matter of time before they got up to that tree too.. lol =D

We've yet to get a cat house for our cats, but I really think that is something that we are going to have to invest in within the near future because our cats love to climb on everything. For right now, however, we have to feed them on the top of the refrigerator so that the dogs don't steal their food. Our younger dog was getting quite fat before we moved the cat food to the top of the fridge because she was always stealing it.

It looks really good.I bet you are pleased that you got it for your cats.I have looked at some of your photos in your profile and i will say that, i know that cat trees are rather expensive, but they are worth every penny.I love to see cats playing, as they can be really funny, i bet watching them on the tree, is better than watching the tv.I am not shocked at how long it took to be put together, as it looks really big.

That`s awesome, Great Job on the Cat Tree Post, It has two purposes. For one they can use it for there nails and secondly they can have a blast playing on it. They will get a life time of fun out of that thing, It was incredibly nice of you to do it for them, You should feel good about yourself for doing your GOOD Daily Deed For the Day!
Thanks for the Photos, Looks like They are having a blast, Getting Exercise, Plus it makes them so tired from playing like you said they need a cat nap.
How much did it cost if you don't mind me asking?

hi jugsjugs you are so right that is a great investment for
your cats and they look right at home and happy too. you are
so clever wow. I am another cat lover too but I cannot afford the
extra increase in my rent to have a cat. seems such a shame too as I
would love to have one.

It sounds like you put in a lot of work and it paid off. I'm glad they like it. Since they play on it all day, does that mean they sleep at night or do they play on it even at night when you are trying to sleep? I think it is better to make one of those than to buy the pre-made ones. It is a lot more rewarding because of the effort you put into it! Have a great weekend!!!

I am not sure if my cats would use it or not. My cats seem to love to sleep on the bed. I tried buyng the cats a bed of their own and they gave me look as if to say, "if you think this is so much fun, you sleep in it mom because thats not for me". I think it is great that your cats really like their new toy.
