Trying to find Tiger a home.

As much as I want to keep Tiger, I know he'll do better in a home where he's the only cat. He needs more attention than I can give him, and I may have found someone who will be perfect for him. Tiger should be neutered next month, and after that, he will be going to a new home if this person can take him. Then I can focus on trying to get his sister inside with us. She is super friendly, and not as afraid of the dog as he is. I'll get her spayed, and keep her inside if I can get her in the house without having to cage her. Tiger reacted badly to this, and I'm afraid that she'd be the same way. One of these days, I will lure her in and I'll be able to get her going with her vet care. The only condition I have for Tiger's adoption, is that I get updates on how he's doing. I want to know if he socializes when he's alone. I'm hoping that things work out, I'm tired of keeping him confined to a small room, it's just not fair at all.

Perhaps being with someone who can spend more one-on-one time with him will be more beneficial. I do applaud your efforts toward his socialization so far but you do seem to be too busy. I hope you do find someone for him. Has the leg all healed?

Yes it has. I had hoped to be able to spend more time with him, but my boss doesn't believe in normal work hours, so I don't have that option. His new potential owner has plenty of time to spend with him, and that's a good thing. He needs more than I can give him.

Being a great pet owner is realizing that a Pet perhaps will do better elsewhere. As difficult as it may be it is certainly the best option as you are simply looking out for what is good for Tiger. I too hope they continue to update you as you have been so good with Tiger thus far.

I hope this works out for you and that you find him a good home. It will make it worthwhile for all the trouble you have had caring for him.

I will miss hearing about all the things that Tiger does if you give him to someone else. It would be nice if he didn't have to be confined to a small room. I do hope things do work out! Have a great weekend!!!

It is really a adventurous plan.It is quite another thing as compared with keeping gerbil. You must prepare plenty of meat for them .they aren't vegetarian.

i can see that you are a very kind and caring person... it may be a hard decision to let go of tiger to another home... but in the long run, you have given him the best home... so you are doing the right thing... take care and have a nice day...

My husband and I love cats, and we'd love a house full of kittens, if we only had the space. For now, we're stuck in this little apartment, and have only enough room for one 11 year old cat that would not be interested in having other cats around. LOL

Wow. We have lots of cats in the Philippines and you can see them on the streets like they're part of the neighborhood. Only that they're not treated as much as other countries. I think we have too many cats lol. But there's this cat from across our house. She belongs to our neighbor, but she keeps coming in to our house and just spends his entire day with us. It's cool because where I come from, it looks strange. But I like him, my younger brother always talks to him. lol. Anyway, at least Tiger will have face a new environment, maybe he's just really wild or something lol. I don't think cats can stay in one place.

Wow! Whatta cute name for a cat. Hope everything will be fine for Tiger. Once we had a dog named Tigger, that's why my heart goes out for ya. Yes, pets needs a space for their own too where they can feel free and can do whatever they like. Usually cats are very playful and loves to run and curious with everything that moves :)
