Getting ready to head out to my FIL's and spend the day out at the Lake with a lot of my husbands family, and watch fireworks afterwards. Even though I know I will end up hurting later and be tired I am actually looking forward to going out there and spending some time with everyone. It is always fun to be around all the others and the younger kids. Gives me a reason to take my mind off of everything going on for me right now, and focus on just relaxing around others. So what are your plans for the 4th? You going to be with Friends and families doing BBQ's picnics, etc. as well? ~~TINA~~

That sounds like a really fun day. I would like to be at the lake right now swimming. Well, actually I would rather be in a pool as I do not really like swimming with the fishies, but I will do it when the weather is really hot and I do not have a pool to use. I also like fireworks and really need to find out when they are having them around here. I hope that you have a wonderful day and really enjoy yourself without paying for it later with too much pain.

Well it was an interesting day and good to be around my husbands family for the day. There were some not so good moments, and I was in a lot of pain by the end of the day but overall I am glad I went. We had an awesome Fireworks show with them putting the barge right in front of the house on the barge on the lake. We had a nice dinner of BBQ chicken, salads, and baked beans. I did have to have a nap due to the pain and the meds I take, but everyone seemed to understand.

That sounds like a wonderful day to me! I know that you said there were some "not so good moments", but I am guessing that they had more to do with your pain than anything else, and it seems that you did the best you could to take care of that situation. We missed the fireworks this year, and I was really disappointed about it. Apparently I got my days mixed up, and when I realized that the fireworks were on Sunday rather than Monday the little one was already asleep, so I didn't want to wake her to see them, even though it would have only taken about two minutes to get to where we could watch the fireworks. I hope that we will get to see them next year, because I love them, and I think that she will be really excited to see them now that she is a little older.

Mine July 4th is going to be a work day. I never have the 4th of july off. I don't care. I get regular pay and holiday pay for working. If I didn't work I would be bored out of my f^cking skull! To me it is just another day in the year and nothing more!

Well, I have to usually work on the 4th unless it falls on a weekend, and I do get Holiday pay for it. The nice thing is my husbands family decides to Celebrate on the Lake the Saturday before, and it was a Fun time as usual. Just glad I can make it each yr.

That's great. Sometimes a really good day is worth the pain we have later. My dad's side of the family usually gets together every fourth of July in one place, and they stay about three days. I'm not going this year because I've had a rash of migraines. In the past week I've had a migraine all but one day. And I would be sharing a room with my dad, and my mom with dementia. And although she would drive me up the wall sure, my concern is getting a migraine from it. My sister and brother-in-law will be there, so my sister can help my if he needs it. It's about time she did something helpful anyway.

Good! I'm going to be shooting off some fireworks tomorrow at my boyfriend's house, but that is the only special thing we have planned for the 4th. In a few days we will be going on a float trip which is the one big thing that I wanted to do this Summer. The place we are going to go also have caves for touring, so we might do that when the float trip part is done to cool off. Lol. Maybe I will get something at the gift shop too!

It is really best to spend your time with your family and friends. Nothing is more precious than sharing your time with your loved ones. I am planning to spend it with my husband and since I'll be delivering my baby anytime soon, I guess we just have to be on a dating mood like watching a movie and treating ourselves to a restaurant. We're just enjoying every moment that we are together. Money can't buy time so you have to make the most out of it.

On the evening of the fourth we will be having a barbecue with my son's girlfriend, at a local park and then watching the fireworks display. I am busily getting ready for my daughter and grand daughters to visit as well, later in the week. While she is here we will meet with friends at a nearby lake. Yes, Tina, you need some positive things to take your mind off of all the discomfort and pain.

I really dont know what I am going to be doing today honestly. Its the first 4th of July without my husband. Every holiday is hard for me. He was the one who always did all the fireworks. I dont even know if we are going to do fireworks this year. We went to a party the other day and the fireworks kept falling down from the sky on us and one set off in the wrong direction and almost hit a big group of people so my kids started crying so bad we had to go inside. If there are fireworks tonight I think they are going to be really scared again afraid that will happen to them. I will be going to dinner at 5 or 6 at my parents house. I am making corn on the cob. I have to go to the store to see if there is anything I can make like a dessert or deviled eggs. I should have done it yesterday but I just didnt feel like it. I'm hoping its nice out so I can take the kids outside since it rained all day yesterday.

I think the outdoors will do you some good with the fresh air and seeing your inlaws as well as the fireworks but don't over do it. You don't need any more pain than you already have. I think hubby and I are going to go to town to see the fireworks display and sell these sticks that light up when they're snapped or bent. I had bought them last year to sell in hopes to raise the money to help my parents out but for some reason hubby and I decided not to go but maybe this year we will because my parents need money for a new roof. Every penny helps so I'm hoping we'll make a hundred or two while doing it and not get caught if it's illegal. Might need a selling permit or something which we don't have but hopefully it'll be ok. I hope!! And I hope you have a good time at yours!

I have no plans for today. I don't have transportation right now and I don't know if the fireworks stand will shoot off any tonight. It sounds like you will have fun. The only family I have in the area (my brother, his wife and kids) came by yesterday (minus wife) to go swimming in the motel pool because it is better than the one for their apartment and his wife called up when they were getting ready to leave and called him a liar because she thought they were going to Barnes & Noble and carried on for a long time about how he was teaching her kids to be liars, when the real problem is that she doesn't let any of them do anything that she is not in control of. I wouldn't want to spend the day near her because she is such a b---h! I might go up to the desk or see if any of the neighbors are doing anything, but chances are I will work on homework and mylot. Have a great day!!!

You deserve a good day..and I hope you don't hurt later because of it. I think we are going to the park and watching a fireworks show. There are usually bands there and concessions to enjoy. It's a nice time. Leaving is the challenging part..there is a lot of people leaving at the same time.

We actually didn't do anything really fancy this year for the 4th. We did take the kids downtown to the parade because that is something that we look forward to every year. After that we went out and got some hamburgers, french fries and milkshakes for lunch and did a little bit of shopping. Finally, we went out to watch some fireworks after it got dark outside. I would have loved to have had a barbeque to attend, but my sister-in-law is in the hospital and my nieces are out of town so we couldn't have had a family barbeque.

Planning to watch the fireworks I got my grandson. Then he and his mom and a friend will ride bikes down to the park and watch the city fireworks. I will enjoy the peace and quiet after all the excitement. I can watch the citie's fireworks on the tv. I think alittle pain is worth. I know I couldn't go to the park but will enjoy them telling me about it all the next day.

We will be going to the local town parade on Monday and they are having lots of games for little folks. After that we will watch the fireworks that evening. I hope that it will be a fun filled day.

I am so happy that you will get to just get out and hang out with friends and family! Yay!!! That's always a tension breaker isn't it? For me I have no plans. I am watching my daughter's dog and she provides great entertainment and at least a little bit of "touch therapy"... I like her sleeping with me! I may dog nap her! lol! The aid will be here on Monday and so I will do my usual run...nothing different than any other day really...

Wow going by the lake and enjoying a bit of outdoors might do you some good! I am glad you are taking a break Tina and do try not to exert to much and have a nice seating in case you are not up to standing too much. We have a couple barbeques that friends invited us, we are considering one of them, but am kind of looking forward to staying indoors. I had a rough month and this is a nice restful weekend for me.
