should we be asking God questions about what happens in our life?

I mean, of course things do happen in our lives, and many times too we are always wondering why we are suffering, or why we have encountered such things in our lives... i admit often i wonder why me.. and why me again?? for the Christians here in mylot... what do you think? do we have the "right" per see to ask God questions?

I am not Christian but for me this is open to anyone who believes in God. Before we ask the 'why' questions do you ever noticed that you are complaining things that happen to your life n which conditions/situations??? Have you ever asked that when you have your happy days or good things happen to you? Have ever say,'Why God, why you give me that happy time again??'I am very sure we always asked more for good never questioned about it sometimes we do forget him for that good thing but when bad things happened to us we tend to blame God for it. Believe it as a test for you and thanked Him for it, even if it is a bad thing it makes you remember Him and closer to Him. We can't simply ask for a good things only, sometimes we need to get the bad and remember that there are lot of people out there who suffer more than what we get.

Yes it makes sense that when their are happy times we do not ask God why... but we do ask him when things are not looking good... i think its really mainly because we find ourselves hopeful and thankful that something like this is happening to us and we appreciate him all the more in our lives and yes we question him for the bad things... all because that is how we are... we are humans and we have questions in our minds.

Yeah, we are human and we only go for happy things. I have read that when God loves us He will give us some test. So every time you have any issues regarding your life, remember that God loves you and you will eventually overcome the problem with His guidance.(^^)

Yes, we can ask anything to God. Whatever we wanted for or needed, like some questions in our life personally. And God will always answers. God will always give what we wanted for. Actually they what we wanted or needed for are already given. They are all already existing. But, the real question. Are we ready to received it? Or accept all God answers and things that are given to us? Are we all listening or hear God? These answers and things are already existing but we are the one who gonna have the acceptance of whatever blessings or graces God gave to us. Sometimes these answers or things or graces or blessings we wanted or needed for are already in front of us or we already knew it. Because we are blinded of hatred, unforgiven, ego, pride and so on that makes our heart into stone, we have been ignorance of some of the important blessings, graces and answers we wanted from God. Sufferings are blessing is disguise. Be always humble in having a personal conversation with God. If we can ask anything what we wanted or needed from God, how about God's words, of what God wanted for us, for our own good. Do we always obey God? and most of all do we love God?

i guess i am doing this, as often as i think i need to talk to God. I do feel he is with me, so i always try to grab every opportunity to talk to him, question him for his plans and even ask him and demand where are the blessings. hehe much like i am with my mom. =)

Why, in my experience the answer is always no. So, why asked someone who does not seem to want to help or even exist except in our own mind. Besides, if we researched the the history we would find a lot of questions and inconsistences that just do not make sense. Here is just one example, one of the commandments is "thou shall keep the Sabbath." Why is it that most Christians do not keep the Sabbath but worship on Sunday, the first day of the week (not the seventh). Look at your calendars. All religion has done to mankind is confuse, lie and cheat us. Did you know that Catholic priest at one time could marry? When they got married, they got land from the church. One of the Popes decided he did not what to give up the land so decided to decree that priest could not marry. Or how about the fish on Friday thing. One of the Popes' brothers was a fisherman and at the time he was not selling much fish. To help his brother the Pope decreed that all Catholics had to eat fish on Fridays. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Just to be clear, I am not religious but I am spiritual. We need to stop making our problems someone elses and take responsibility for our own lives.

Hello. How are you? You just judged how Christians or other personal faiths but you stated inconsistently and some are not related to this discussion. For that you will also be judge. You said your Spiritual? God is Spiritual. We are all Spirituals and we should or must treat all of us as Spiritual beings. You stated literal things which are not part as being Spiritual.

Not sure why it would be wrong to ask. Surely God realizes that we don't know everything. It's only human to become curious and to wonder about that which we don't understand. If it was an issue, we would have been created all knowing from the start.

Hi cupkitties... thank you for your response. I guess it is not really wrong to ask but often people feel bad after questioning God when everything is better afterwards. I do hope somehow that we wouldn't be responsible or liable should we ask anything more from him our father.

In my opinion, we don't have the right to ask God my things do happen in our lives. Personally though, I have asked him before, why, why me, why not others, but then I say sorry afterwards because I know that I don't have the right to complain. What I have to do is thank him for choosing me, ask for his guidance and to keep me stronger so I can stand the test of life.

I don't think we have the right to question God for whatever misfortunes we encounter.I believe that everything happens for a reason. And It is up to us to realize its purpose.God won't allow us to be in any situation we can't handle.Besides we are even unworthy of the many blessings He gives us yet He continuously showers us with His blessings.I guess we should just be grateful for whatever happens in our lives.Waking up each day is blessing enough.

I think this is mainly because tears are associated with people's sadness. I know people do find themselves in such problems at times and that they often try to stay away from it instead of trying to fix their problems.

Agree with you about things happen for a reason and it is up to us to realize its purpose. I wonder why people only cry for the bad things that happen around them but they never try to fix it and they never cry when they are happy.

I think we ask questions to God because we can't seek the answer anywhere else. We can't solve the problem that's why we seek the solution and the answers from Him, the source of all wisdom, the almighty.

For me, I guess Yes. We are just human and we sometimes losing our faith to God the reason why we ask, because of the Trials that happens in our lives. The important thing is we Have to Thank God and asking for Forgiveness in every wrong doing we have done.

honestly, i havent questioned Him of any of my mishap. i always see it as His way of introducing me to new knowledge or to something that would make me grow better. i know He wouldnt put me in a situation i cant get away with. the harder we fall, the higher we bounce back.we just have to take things positively and ask Him for strength and patience.

If at times I fail I usually don't ask him why.I go to the prayer room and ask for him for guidance on what is the best thing to do next and i pray and I lift up my problems to him because I know everything happens for a reason.Failures happen all the time in our life and the reason behind it is maybe we neglected to pray with him and we are so busy with our life that he want us to realized that we should also give time to pray with him.

I think of God as my Daddy, so therefore, I think it is okay to ask my Daddy questions. It's all part of talking and listening to God. I also believe that we bring on a lot of our own misery into our lives by the choices we make in life. For me, having a respiratory illness is self-inflicted from years and years of smoking. I don't smoke now, but the changes I made were too little too late. Some things happen we can't help, and it is okay to ask why me? but why NOT me? would i rather it be someone else? Heck no! I wouldn't wish suffering on anyone else just so I could avoid it... so if I must suffer, I try to do it with grace. I know that God gets me through any suffering that I do.

I admit that I've already questioned God about several things. I don't know.. Maybe out of despair, anger or confusion. Honestly, I don't know if it's good or not to ask God about the things that are happening around you. But I think it's okay because I do it every once a while. lol. Well, seriously, I think it's alright because it's a sign that we believe that God exists. :)

Oh I don't think we do. Life itself is a precious gift God has given us and we should be thankful. We have to learn to accept whatever is being offered in this world. We have to be aware that there are other people whose sufferings are greater compared to ours. These are just trials. And most of these trials can constructively help us to better learn what is best for us to become better persons. Don't worry because all those things will pass and you will be stronger even before you know it.

The Gospel today gives me a lesson. A very good lesson. "Do not blame your failures or misfortune to God". Instead, strengthen your faith on Him and believe His words. If you experience hard frustrations, it doesn't mean that He doesn't care for you. It simply a signal that we should learn to wait for our turn cause each one of us has the scheduled time to let all the prayers that we kept on asking from Him be answered. I think you, I, and we should learn to wait and exercise our patience. we had receive too much, so don't be sad if some of wishes are not granted. It will come true. Just believe in HIM.

It is all right to ask God why such a such a thing happened. It does not mean that HE will answer you in this lifetime and sur if you did contribute to the problem, you have to take part of the responsibility yourself. You could ask for how you could solve the problem or overcome it. And sometimes God permitted what happened to you, happen not because HE felt you deserved to be poor or unsuccessful or you deserved that your friend who is so nice to die of a horrible disease, or for people to think you a bad person because of what you did, but to show that there is evil in the world. For instance, Satan's purpose is to attack Christians and by allowing the devil to do these things, God is showing Satan that you can overcome him and he (the devil) does not stand a chance.

I don't do this generally but yes I ask myself the questions about my life. I ask myself that why it is only me who suffers, of course when I suffer. I also thank myself for doing the good jobs. I also love myself for doing the good things. Maybe I am self possessed but this is what is me. I think God is an imaginary personality in our mind.

Personally for me, it is okay to ask questions to God. It is okay to rant, babble and perhaps just be with Him in silence. It had been preached and taught by some spiritual leaders that communicating with God in any way we can, is a sign that we are practicing our faith with Him. While it is greatly discouraged to speak ill with Him, it could be done. After all, God is a friend. In periods of our life when we experience suffering, we ought to offer everything on Him. I have heard lots of believers complaining about the issues that they've been having..but in the end, they always come back to Him.
