hi mylotters, I am here at the hospital because my sister was here since last night She i not feeling well two weeks ago we brought her at the ER because she can't bear the sore throat after a days she is doing bit fine until her beloved boyfriend brought lots of cake and ice cream almost everyday which is a NO NO for her. I told them that it is not good but they don't listened to me and now what happened she was operated this morning due to infections. Seeing her last night at the emergency room crying because of the pain it breaks my heart

I blamed his boyfriend for this

I hope she will be out tonight or tomorrow and I will make sure there will be no ice cream and cake for now until she is fully recover. hope everyone is doing fine I MISS MYLOT

I understood he didn't mean to harm her. But any kind of loving which will result in harming can't be good, right? I've seen the same with 'loving' kids too...I mean...not disciplining in the name of love (for example)..same effect. Anyway, hope your sister and her boyfriend have learnt from this incident. Too bad she had to undergo surgery for it.

hope your sister gets well soon. always advise her to drink lots of mineralized water and yes avoid too much sweet food for now so as not to aggravate her condition. i hope she was able to rest amidst the loud talking, shrieking, skyping we did last night when you were still at the hospital watching over your sis. i was blushing and laughing the whole time. now... you've seen what i had to take home recently. lolz

i will let you tell jaiho the juicy parts. hahaha be back in a week's time sis, gonna go to davao city for the summit.

Sweet Dessert - A Slice of Cake

I hope your sister is fine by now and hopefully she will no longer commit the same mistake.

People oftentimes can't control themselves especially when it comes to food. They eat in excess only to end up sick and regretful. Well I myself do love ice cream and cake. Who would not? I am sweet-toothed just like many others but I always make sure I eat just enough. I don't like to end up sick and worse hospitalized.

All cake and ice cream isn't good for you if you're well! It's nice that he's trying to make her feel better, but he should think about something else sweet like some flowers maybe? I hope she gets well soon!

Hello Catch,

It's either the boy friend doesn't she's allergic or sicky to those sweets or he has no choice but to follow her girlfriend which to buy her sweet stuff or they will ran into a conflict. actually, I haven't had such sweets since my relatives aren't sending herseys and other types of chocolates every now and then.

Hope you're sister recovers from this incident, if only she could have controlled herself.

Well who can resist a combination of cake and ice cream most especially among ladies. Too bad, it is not recommended when having a sore throat.I hope your sister will recover soon and will be home soon, start recovering and maybe have a little of cake and ice cream again .There's too much heat wave surrounding most areas now and one can help craving for something sweet and cold.

Sorry for your sister. Yeah, you are right. Too much sweetness is a NO NO. I avoid consuming that. In all food, I avoid sweetness. That is bad for our health. I worry to have diabetes. so, just start to have a good diet. The best thing is avoid it. Nice share

I hope your sister feels better. Her boyfriend should have waited until she was fully recovered to bring her ice cream and cake. He should have brought her something healthier like chicken soup either homemade or canned just as long as you heat it up and some orange juice. Mmmm....Chicken soup. I'm so hungry.

OMG! She should have controlled herself from eating too much of those. At least now she's okay.

That would be an eye opener to her and her boyfriend. Perhaps by now, they already know that's its bad to have too much of sweets or maybe any other food.

hello SIMPLYD, the doctor just checked her awhile ago and told us she will be out tomorrow if she will be fine she can't eat solid food so she is on soft diet now. How I wish they will be both be more careful because sweets are my sister's weaknesses

Oh dear.. They should have known that those are bad for her and so she should not have eaten those and her BF should have not bought her sweets. If she has sore throat, it's automatic those are not good for her. It's her BF's fault..

AT least they should learn a lesson from this. What's no is a no. If it's bad, don't take risks. Hope she gets well soon! Have a nice day!
