I took in about six games yesterday, and had them buy the games off me. I looked at the little debit card machine as he was ringing them up and the total came to $64.00, well they could buy them off me for $39.00 and some change, and so I was happy and said "yup I'll do that."
That is almost half the price of the bike that I want to get, and so I am really happy about that. I may bum four dollars off of someone so that I can make it exactly half the price of the bike and go down and get the bike put on layaway then next month take it out.
So maybe it will be August instead of September I'll be getting that bike, so happy!
In any case, gamestop did pretty good, I was afraid I'd only get like $15.00, but to have that surprise, I was giddy!
Have you traded or sold anything lately and was happy with the results?

Well, you had a good and happy surprise then. I just read the other one about find the Schwinn. Hope you get that bike. You might be happier with it than the cheap one at K-mart. The store one is going to be a cheaper brand and you might have problems with it in long run.

That was my thought Schwinns are worth having and maintaining and make excellent transportation.

I know I was so grateful that the guy sold it to me for what he did. I will try to get a pic up of what it looks like, once I can figure out how to send a picture to my facebook from this phone again!

They have a good trading program, especially if you're a member. Also if you wanted to put the trade in towards an upcoming game then I think you get 20% more? atleast that's the promotion now.

It is exciting to get that kind of a surprise. I am glad it means you get your bike sooner. I am sure it feels good to find out that you can sell a few things and move on with the things you are planning.

I usually don't go with the person that took me to gamestop, but something kind of "pushed" me to do it anyway. I was happy I did, and like I said on the bike discussion, I wasn't even going to look on craigslist, then I wasn't going to call...
Someone up there is spurring me on!

My son recently upgraded from the Wii to the xbox 360. Although he just gave his old console to his cousin with some games, he did talk about trading in his other games so he could get a few more for his xbox.
I was actually looking at the Gamestop website yesterday because my son wants the Modern Warfare 2 game. And he wanted to trade in some games to get a big discount on the price.

I have recently traded in some games for credit at Gamestation in the UK. Only got £5 for them, which is most likely about 2% of their initial retail value. But then the UK is the rip off capital of Europe. Still, netter than nothing. I'll have to wait and see whether this will yield useful results, as so many new games seem to be orientated towards game systems rather than PC.

I believe GameStation may be the UK equivalent of gamestop here. I know I was surprised I got so much for the games I brought in, though most were fairly new. If you ever want to sell anything again, I've heard CeX in the UK is pretty good with that.
Good luck on further trade ins or sales.
