I have had the joy & pleasure of keeping my grandson alot this summer & boy have we had fun. He is the sweetest little boy i know. He is so kind & considerate of me & my limitations. Helps me do everything he can & i really appreciate him being that way by me. Only negative thing that has happened he has completely burned me out on macaroni & cheese, lol. We were sitting at the table tues. having one of our good converations & he said out of the clear blue, bobo, if u had a wii & a x-box i would just move in.I thought that was so funny because we wern't discussing anything like that. I'm not going to go out & buy the two things because i imagine his parents would have something to say about that, don't u?

Aww, that is sweet and you must be some grandmother for him to have fun enough without his games and that if only you had those games, he'd be satisfied living with you..

lol, yes I do believe that most young people would live with their grandparents if they could. We have much more time for them and do more with them because we realize just how quickly they grow up and go out on their own. I have one of my grandchildren living with me. I do have more that would love to live with me but their mom won't let them.

Oh yes, when parents are good ones feel the child is blessed because so many are not good parents. My daughter is alright as a parent she just has so many children to care for. DT was doing badly in school for the past 3 months his grades dropped from being an honor student to below that so he came to be here so he can go to the school he is use to going to. It's hard on kids when they are uprooted and have to go to a new school in the last few months of school. They are behind the others and that can hurt them.

Aren't they just the love of our lives? My little granddaughter said when she grows up she is buying the house across the street so when she has kids I can come and see them anytime I want! LOL..like yours she is just so thoughtful! I know about the mac and cheese thing too...too much of a good thing?

Try putting frozen broccoli or peas in the mac and cheese, it does help. I think it is great for him to spend time with you and not be around the electronics so much. I know you like to do things with him, and I am sure he lights up your days.

OMG how cute is he. That is too funny and I'm sure his parents would have alot to say about that. He reminds me of my 5 year old granddaughter and the funny smart things that come out of her mouth. I have actually written down everything she has said that was way beyond her years so I can read them when I'm old a gray and laugh again at them.

My thoughts were when I'm old grey rocking myself in a rocking chair I will be able to read all of her "GEMS" and laugh all over again hopefully remembering the moment she said it and her expression on her face. I wish you a beautiful weekend too!

really cute comment from Ryan and reminds me of my own childhood when I was so blessed having my Grandma living in the same house so it meant only go upstairs when I wanted to see her what I did often. My mother was jealous for sure. LOL

Your grandson sounds just so cute. It's funny what comes out of little ones mouths. Especially when we don't see it coming. You could probably get a good deal on a Wii & a xbox, . I agree his parents would have something to say on that. It wouldn't be bad, more of the lines of woohoo you got a wii and a xbox. That what my husband and brother in laws would say of their parents. Now if my parents did, I would be in shock because that is so not like my parents.

I havent got any grandchildren and to be honest I am not a big fan of small children, BUT this little fella sounds a real cutie and I loved the way he was honest in his own little way, saying if you had certain things in your house, he would move in!! I thought that was very funny as children can be so brutally honest , but you are very lucky as he loves you very much. I am also struck by the macarani and cheese, thats interesting as little 'uns usually pork out on sweet stuff and fried food, and as those are 2 of my favourite foods, he impresses me on that too. Enjoy yourself, I do envy you.but you are also a very special person too for him to love you so much

Hello dear antique lady. Young children are very honest and he probably meant it in his own mind but you have to consider that his parents are indeed entitled first to him, and you, who already had children of your own (and still have them only grown up) are only second - you are the one who can spoil him a bit more then his parents :D Buying only one of those thing would be enough. From my experience with the Wii and x-box, the x-box would actually benefit you as well, as you can see movies on it.

I'm very aware of where my grandson needs to be, with his parents of course. I don't need u telling me what's what w/him. We do just fine thank u just like we are.I don't intend to buy either one. There's no way he would want to leave his parents & i don't want him to , to start with. Thanks for your response but not your advice.

Hi there ANTIQUELADY That is great to hear that you are having so much fun with your grandson, I have heard you speak about him many times and does sound the sweetest of kids. It's funny because we have just come back from my kids grandmother's house from a short vacation and she gets on so well with my youngest and he does everything he can to please her yet at home with me he will barely lift a finger, I wonder what she has that I don't? Haha she is my mother afterall hahaha

I must say that when my friend moved house recently I brought my kids with me to help her, the two eldest helped a bit and then went off to the park but the youngest stayed and helped. I have just tried to load the car up for camping at the weekend and my youngest was there ready to help me bless hiim. Maybe the trip to nannies house has done him a bit of good, now I wonder what I have to do for the other two to be a bit more helpful? Hmmmmm hahha

Oh yes..when they saw him headed out the door with his bags...they would have something to say. You rank pretty high in his book for sure for him to come out of the blue and say that...he loves his Bobo. I'm glad you have got to spend a lot of time with him. I was wondering if you were getting to. How is his little sister? Is he still liking her?

Hello Jo! Boy, these kids sure do start out young with their electronically gaming stuff! My sons went through their "gaming" stage...well, they are still in that stage. Anyways, they would always bring their systems over to their grandparents house...heaven forbid if they couldn't go on them for a day or two. I wouldn't encourage it Jo. Where the gaming systems are go for somethings, it does chop down on the art of conversation. I noticed the more my kids would play on their gaming systems the less they would actually talk to us or each other.

Have you priced the wii and x-box? They are not cheap. Yes, I do think your grandson's parents would object to you buying your grandson's affections. Because that is just what it would look like to them.

Actually, I have no idea what an x box is so you have one up on me The only thing that drives me crazy is when they talk in Arabic to each other and then they look at me and giggle I can only imagine what they are saying

He is a smart boy really for enticing you to buy him the wii and the x-box. But in my opinion, if you buy him those two things in your house, he wouldn't be playing and talking with you often like he does when he is there, because his wii and xbos will occupy him. So, don't give in to his enticement. He has them already in their house, so in you house it should be a different set of activities.

I really don't think he was enticing me to buy them for him. He was just making a statement that surprised me. I'm not going to buy either for him here. We do just fine doing all the things we do when he is here.
