Well, it's Monday morning, the weekend is over.

And the little guy has survived the weekend, despite my thinking that he wouldn't. The little one has a strength that I've never seen before in an animal, he wants to live, and that's why I'm naming him Tuffy. Later tonight, when the last girl from the first litter leaves the house, I will be moving this litter into the bigger tank, as all of them are roaming around and are limited in space. They're only in a 10 gallon tank, and will be moving to the 20 gallon we have. The boys are in the 30 gallon tank and that's where they will stay. Gerri is busy with a toilet paper tube, and 3 of the pups are running around the tank not knowing what it is. She has already destroyed it, they had no real chance to explore it, but wandered through it a couple of times as she was chewing it up. I think Gerri needed that since she has nothing in the tank with her. After the last pup died being trapped behind an item I left for them, I'm not risking any other problems with objects in the tank. Once I move them though, they'll be in the tank with a wheel, I'll have to move other stuff out, and I'm hoping that none of them get trapped under the wheel. But I'm happy to know that the little guy is still alive, and that he should make it.

Yes, I am very happy. But I'm still holding on to the possibility that he could die, that's not totally out of the question, but it's not as likely anymore.

I'm glad to know that the little guy made it through that weekend. I am way behind on discussions so I'm wondering what the situation is now. It sounds like you have a good plan for keeping the pups happy and healthy. Have a great weekend!!!

Maybe they are big enough not to get under the wheel. It is hard to make a good balance between safety and stimulation.
