I do keep a diary, but I don't write as often to it. Only when I feel like it. I know of some people who write to their diary every single day and I admire them for that. I get lost for words to say. sometimes I don't know how to start saying it. Sometimes I get conscious of the things I write, get distracted and then lose my momentum and stop writing in the middle. Sometimes I think to fast and couldn't catch up with it. I would like someday to be able to write fluidly my hearts content, pouring out my emotions in what I write. I hope that someday will be soon. For now I need to really push myself to write just about anything even if it does not make sense. until I am able to squeeze out the ideas in my brain.

I used to have a diary, when i was a kid, but I don't anymore. I haven't had a diary in such a long time. It's just something that I haven't really had an interest in having. I think that's why I don't have one. I just lost interest.

I also used to have a diary before. I remember, it has a pad lock and I used to keep the key inside my wallet. I started my interest in diary when I was 6, when I used to have a crush in our classroom. I had my diary till 14. I stopped because there was one time that my cousins read it and they used to tease me. I don't have enough time for that because I was busy for school.

When I was younger I tried to keep a diary. Like you, I had problems writing in it on a daily basis. At a loss for words, reading back over previous entries that later seemed dumb, hard to put feelings into words, etc. So, I eventually dropped it. But, I didn't stop writing. I just chose different things to write and started keeping a journal instead. Ideas that popped into my head that might be useful later, things I wanted to think about more at a later time, short stories, dreams that I wanted to look at closer, etc. Some days I would write nothing and other days I would make several entries. So, maybe a diary is not for you. Try something else instead. Everyone is not the same and we should not all try to be the same. Try something new and if you find it is not right for you; then, try something else.

Yes sometimes specially with some important events and occasion that happened to me in that day. But not everyday I lived only in a simple life and no superficial about me hehehe. I used to write dates that I liked to remember when I got old.

I added the diary app to my iPad and when I am stressed or sad I write in it. The only bad thing is when I first started writing in it I had a lot to say so I needed a lot of room. Well they only allow one page unless you purchase the app so I had to sum up my feelings or continue to another day. I feel it is nice to be able and get your thoughts on paper and not have anyone judging you on what you want to say or what you feel.

When I was very young when I started writing diary. I was writing there very important things to me. Funny story when after few years I decided to view my diaries I was truly surprised how my point of view changed over years. I don't keep diary now as I have no time to do so and my life become busy but boring. I think I would not have interesting things to write about there.

I got to say that keeping a diary is definitely a good habit . I some kind of regret that i didn't make that one of my habit . Maybe my life is too boring .I mean ,there is nothing worthy of writing down .When i was in college ,in order to improve my English ,i kept a diary every day . But once i graduated ,i gave it up .On one hand , i don't think something as interesting as ever before .On the other hand ,i seem too busy to do that .Nevertheless, i respect those who persist in keeping a diary .

Hello Neriz69, I used to keep one when I was in elementary. I don't remember if I did it religiously everyday but I would surely write about anything exciting that happens in my life. During my adolescent age, I was so embarrassed when my mom discovered it and read some of the pages over dinner. From then I stopped writing in my diary in bold words. Then again, I couldn't stop writing. I began to discover my ability in writing poems and I did. I started writing my diary in form of poetry. That way, they wouldn't be able to read exactly what I want to express. It bothered them somehow 'cause it became my "little secret". Up to this moment, I would grab a pen and notepad when I feel like writing. I would write about anything under the sun. Anything that amuses me and things that I find so special or unusual would always become a subject. Sometimes, I feel like I am just writing about the same things. Some people who read it would think it was a little odd but it's only I, who had the feelings in every line I wrote. I do believe that keeping a record of some events in our lives could be something we may forget but reading those which were written are some things that we can look back and may serve as a reminder of what we once felt and experienced in the past.

I do have diary, its how i keep track my day. About wanting to follow the momentum, first write in the minimum letters slowly and gradually you will be addicted to write evrything in your diary. I also have a gratitute journal which is a diary that i spefically wite about the things that im gratefull for that day. All these diary and journal took me years to get it on the swing and to have the courage to tell you of the steps. Above missing letters are on purpose to save time

I remember when I was a young child, I was obsessed with my little diary. I would always decorate it with colorful paper and glittery stickers. It was something that was really personal to me, a friend who shares my comforts, happiness, fears and angers. I don't own one anymore but it's good to know that you still write in your diary. You know, your thoughts and feelings can transform you into a great writer.

Hahahaha.. I have a funny experience keeping a diary. We all know that diary contains your emotional expression/your personal talk to someone or whatever you feel to write in it. But it's very shocking for me when one day i return to my hometown because of summer break, all of the people in our compound knew the content of one of my diaries. The suspect was my younger sister, she let everyone in the compound read it and they all share their comments and sentiments with what i have wrote in my diary. Of course, at first i was very angry with her but as time passed - remembering the things i have wrote in it, it made me laugh on the way i describe and define some things.

I wrote a diary for some time when I was in the high school. But I haven't written a diary for quite a long time. I don't think it is not necessary for me to keep a diary any more since I am afraid it will be read by others. Besides, I will not read my diary again. So why not I have to spend time writing it? I love China

I keep more of a journal, not a diary. Never really called anything I wrote in a diary. I write my thoughts, poetry, ideas, things I want to look up, & even websites in it. Normally I write in it every day so that I can get my creative juices flowing. I once read & watched a video where it said to write every single day for 10 minutes uninterrupted about anything that comes to mind. Like you, I have a problem keeping up with my thoughts as I write. Sometimes my brain is thinking way to fast compared to my writings. They say not to stop to even correct spelling mistakes as it slows you down & then you forget what it was you are trying to get out. Practice, Practice, Practice. Especially if you want to get better at it.

I don't have the full diary book, I just write to a notebook that is not in use anymore, or even a piece of paper. Just a few days ago I found my mini diary for a particular day at work written in a small piece of paper, it was dated 2003 I even do not remember writing that diary. I have this big planner book and I written some of my day experiences, I just edited the date. It's kinda funny to know what you have been through that day and reminiscing.

I used to have a diary when I was a kid. But I'm not keeping a diary right now that I am getting old. Maybe because I don't have anymore time to write down what had happened throughout the day. As we go older we have more important priorities in life.

I started writing my diary from middle of the school.I write it only when there are some special things happen such as pass an exam, make friends, find a new job, learn some new things.etc and sometimes when I feel bad I also write my feelings and then I will feel much better.I think it is a good habbit to keep a siary and after few years you can look back the road you has walked you will always have different feelings.
