How Do You "Happy Birthday" to Your Husband/Wife?

When it comes to our loved ones, I know that a lot of us are creative on how to greet a special person on his/her birth day. There goes a handmade card, a simple cupcake with a candle on it, a serenade maybe, a popping balloon with a message inside it or name it because there's a lot more! I made this discussion because it's my husband's birthday today. I didn't have the time to buy him a gift because we just arrived home from processing all the papers for us to go to Taiwan for our honeymoon and to have bonding moments with his parents there. And so, I waited the time to tick on 12 in the middle of the night. He was still awake and watching in his laptop. What I did was, I cooked his favorite noodles and gave it to him and sang him a happy birthday and told him to look at his email because I sent a digital scrapbook (which I personally made) birthday greeting for him. I saw his smile and he hugged and kissed me. This is the ever first birthday we celebrated as a married couple and praying for more in the years to come. How about you? How do or did you greet your wife/husband on his/her birthday?

My love - my hubby
My husband birthday will be in one week. And is going to our first birthday together, and my birthday will be in three weeks. What I am going to his mom and me are making a surprise party for him. “Birthday is a special time to celebrate the gift of 'you' to the world.”

I usually buy a cake for him , say happy birthday first thing in the morning and we go out for dinner all together with our kids, when I used to work I used to buy gifts, but, now that dont work I feel funny to buy out of his own money, In the beggining of the marriage everything its so exiting but , with the years if You permit it those things and creativity falls apart. You know what ? keep doing it that way, dont loose it , its very nice what You do for your husband s birthday, keep on doing it for the rest of your marriage. those little things are the ones that make a person happy. Welcome to Taiwan my friend.

Ill also cook for him-breakfast in bed. Kiss him and tell him how much i love him. Then prepare something for lunch with our family and friends. Then spend the rest of the night cuddling with him. :)

Happy Birthday to your hubby. Good that you are creative in the way you greeted your husband. I also did the same thing when I don't have time to go out and buy him a present, I made a digital scrapbook photo of him. In fact, this year is dry so we celebrated it in a very simple manner, no dining out, no extravagant feast like inviting friends over. It was just the two of us since he took his off day too. What we just shared was a piece of cake, ice cream and I cooked some pasta spaghetti and thanked God for another year that He gave hubby.

I love how you celebrated your hubby's birthday! Well, I greeted him this early because later today, friends and family will come over to celebrate with us. I hope that at the end of the day, it's all cuddling and caressing for us alone. Hahaha!

Actually, since we have our husband by our side on the night when the clock changes to 12:01 am of his birthday, we could improvise on how we could greet him, as the first greeter. That was a very sweet thing you did to your husband actually. Keep it up that way, for every anniversary. Always tell him at least a week or two before that date, what are your plans. That way, both of you will always anticipate your anniversary . My husband and i have been married for 21 years, and i see to it that we will always dine out on our anniversary. But if during the date, he will be too busy, we would postpone it on a later date. But for sure on that day, i will buy some foods for us to partake at home, even if it means waiting for him to come home late at night. Anniversaries are there to be celebrated always.

Well, first of all, happy belated birthday to your husband. I hope it was a great day for him. For me, it really depends on the year how I will show my appreciation for my husband on his birthday. This year we went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant because that is one of his favorite kinds of ethnic foods. I wasn't, however, able to get him a gift because we didn't have the money to be able to do that this year. However, I also did make sure to let him know how much I love and appreciate him.

That is so nice. My partner's birthday is in September. I ordered for him CD with his favourite singer and I bought big tray of chocolates as he loves them so much. So this was surprise for him. I always remember about his special day as I don't celebrate mine. His smile was priceless.
